Photomode Update

As a photographer we loves to take pictures, it would be awesome if the photomode actually worked properly in AC. Also have more options to change. The best photomode in any game would be Gran Turismo which has the ability to change aperture, shutter speed, and focal length with real numbers that would correspond to a real DSLR camera as opposed to the unitless sliders most games choose to do. At this point, a unitless slider for each setting wouldn't be that bad. At this point, auto focus wouldn't be that bad. The current state of the photomode is pretty bad. A game with such amazing physics and car list deserves a photomode to capture those moments.

 

Assetto has always been about the driving rather than the looks or extra features. We could all probably list a few things that could be improved graphically, especially in things like replays or photomode, i personally would like better control of replays.
But the short sharp answer is, it's a racing sim, not a photography or racing video simulator, so i don't think those kinda of things will be given any kind of priority.
If there are things that can still be improved within the racing or physics side of things, then they will always get worked on before considering revamping the controls in photo/replay mode.

So i would say the chances of of getting more controls over photos/videos anywhere in the near future is slim to none, unfortunately.
