1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Introduction to the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship - 1st edition
    Following the success of the demanding and many-sided CIAC, AC-Italy.net moves to a more traditional championship: the famous Porsche Supercup!
    Paired with the unrivaled SRZ commentators and driven by the need to burn rubber at the wheel of the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, 50 drivers, divided in two different categories (according to their license type, A or B), will fiercely fight for the top spot in five exciting events that will partly follow the real-life Porsche Supercup calendar.

    Drivers allowed to participate in the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship
    The following AC-Italy.net members may take part in the Championship:
    ⦁ all Italian drivers
    ⦁ all foreign drivers, as long as they belong to a team which includes a member capable of understanding and speaking Italian or, if privateers, capable of comprehending Italian themselves, both written (for the majority of regulations, protests and in-game messages by the Race Direction) and spoken (for the drivers' briefing).
    In both cases, drivers will first have to face a preliminary session and then, if successful, they will have to make a mandatory donation (more details below) to grant themselves the right to participate in the Championship.

    Minimum hardware requirements
    ⦁ Internet connection capable of providing a ping below 150ms (the Race Direction will kick from the qualifying/race server any driver whose ping exceeds this threshold for a certain amount of time, depending on the on-track situation. Participants are suggested to link their computer directly to the Internet, avoiding the use of Wi-Fi);
    ⦁ Steering wheel and pedal set.

    Season calendar
    Round 1: May 2-3, 2017
    GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA
    Barcelona GP

    Round 2: May 16-17, 2017
    GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
    Red Bull Ring GP

    Round 3: May 30-31, 2017
    BRITISH GRAND PRIX
    Silverstone GP

    Round 4: June 13-14, 2017
    BELGIAN GRAND PRIX
    Spa

    Round 5: June 27-28, 2017
    GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA
    Monza

    Preliminary stage
    Due to the limited number of slots available (50), a preliminary stage starting at 8PM CET on Wednesday, April 12 and lasting until 11:59PM CET on Wednesday, April 26 (subscription to AC-Italy.net, then a pre-entry to the championship are needed), will be held in order to establish the list of potential participants. Drivers will compete on a different track, not listed in the season calendar, which will be communicated by the Race Direction by 8PM CET on Tuesday, April 11. The message containing the track chosen for the preliminary stage will be visible on the AC-Italy.net chat, by choosing either the tab "Generale" (General) or "Comunicazioni Porsche Supercup" (Porsche Supercup notices).
    In order to register valid lap times during this session, drivers must:
    ⦁ use their full name on the Assetto Corsa profile;
    ⦁ use a steering wheel as their game controller (no gamepad allowed);
    ⦁ use the compulsory apps Ptracker and OSRW Race Admin, both updated using exclusively AC-Italy.net SimsyncPro;
    ⦁ set Realism to Pro, making sure to have Stability Control disabled (set to OFF);
    ⦁ laps must be validated by the Ptracker app.
    Lap times failing to meet the above-mentioned criteria will be ignored.
    There won't be any limit regarding the number of valid laps a driver can set - participants may drive as many or as few laps as they desire.
    The purpose of the preliminary stage is to define the drivers' licenses. The top 25 drivers will be eligible for an A-type license, whereas the remaining 25 participants will be eligible for a B-type license, resulting in two exclusive Championship standings.
    The preliminary stage will be open to all users of AC-Italy.net and won't force drivers to continue the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship should the format not pique their interest.
    Participating to the preliminary stage is a necessary but not sufficient condition to grant themselves a slot for the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship.

    Completing registration
    Once the preliminary stage has ended (11:59 PM CET on Wednesday, April 26), drivers will be able to complete their registration by a mandatory donation (see AC-Italy.net to details) within 11:59 PM CET on Saturday, April 29.
    The donation allows the AC-Italy.net administration to solely cover all organizational costs of the event, and grants:
    ⦁ privateers a named license, only valid for the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship;
    ⦁ drivers belonging to a team registered for the Championship an individual license, only valid for the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship;
    The individual donation gives the right to drivers belonging to a registered team to be substituted by a reserve driver, provided they aren't already registered for the Championship or belonging to a different team competing in the tournament. The reserve driver may, eventually, contribute to their team score (in lieu of one of the two official drivers designated for the Championship, as communicated by the Team Manager - see "Team score" for further info) and their own tally will be included to the appropriate Drivers' Standings , according to the license type held by the contestant replaced by the reserve driver.

    Commitment to participate for teams and privateers
    With registration completed, every sim-driver commits themselves to participate in all races scheduled by the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship.
    Teams will be allowed to replace (eventual) absent official drivers with reserve drivers, provided these belong to the team formation before the beginning of the season and are not already taking part themselves in the 2017 Porsche Supercup Championship. Transfers between teams involving registered drivers won't be allowed for the entire duration of the tournament.

    Confirming participation and penalties for missed races
    A-license drivers who completed their registration within the deadline, won't have to confirm their participation race by race, since registration automatically commits drivers to participate in all races scheduled by the Championship.
    Although the same level of commitment is expected by B-license drivers, these contestants will have to confirm their participation to the upcoming event by the Saturday preceding the week of the race. This will let the Race Direction pick eventual wild-cards, in case of absent drivers.
    No matter the license type, drivers will incur increasingly more severe penalties should they miss one or more races:
    1 absence: 10-place grid penalty for the following race;
    2 absences: last place on the starting grid in the next race;
    3 absences: exclusion from the Drivers' Standings, disqualification from the 2017 Porsche Supercup and loss of all license points (meaning the penalized driver would have to skip the first race of any other future tournament hosted by AC-Italy.net).
    Licensed drivers substituted by reserve drivers won't incur any penalty, provided their team promptly notices the Race Direction of the line-up change for the event.

    Joining in the ongoing season
    Drivers who wish to enter the tournament after the registration period has ended, may do so if and only if licenses are still available (less than 50 drivers registered). According to availability, sim-drivers who join in at a later time will either receive an A- or B-license.

    Overabundance of driver entries
    Provided that all 50 sim-drivers who managed to pre-qualify confirm their participation in the tournament within the deadline, drivers from position #51 onwards will be considered wild-cards and may choose to register for the B-license championship even after the scheduled deadline, knowing that:
    1) they will be allowed to compete in one or more races, as wild-cards, should one or more B-license drivers not confirm their participation in the upcoming race;
    2) drivers who participated in the preliminary stage, and confirmed their participation within the deadline, will receive priority according to the result they achieved during the preliminary contest, followed by drivers who registered after the deadline, ordered by join date.
    Wild-cards must show up on race day on TeamSpeak, joining the AC-Italy.net channel before the race briefing, informing the Administration or the Race Direction of their intentions, knowing that they may not be able to take part in the event should there be more wild-cards than slots available.

    Qualifying (Phase I)
    The qualifying session will last 25 minutes and it will be held on the same day of the race, in hardcore mode, meaning drivers won't be allowed to press the ESC key to get back to the pits for the entire duration of this qualifying phase. Refueling, repairing and changing tyres will be allowed, but it won't be possible to change the car setup after qualifying has started.
    Drivers who use the ESC key to get back to the pits, even after a crash, won't be allowed to rejoin the track. Should drivers breach this rule, they will be excluded from the event (drivers will be stripped of all points achieved in the race).
    Should two or more entrants set an identical lap time, the driver who set it first will be given precedence and thus awarded the better grid slot.
    When the checkered flag is waved, drivers may complete one last flying lap only if they started their new attempt within the allotted time (by crossing the start/finish line).

    Superpole (Phase II)
    After the first qualifying phase has ended, the fastest 8 drivers will take part in the Superpole session, to determine the grid order for positions 8th to 1st. During Superpole, contestants will only have a single opportunity to set a valid lap time. The Race Direction will call one driver at a time on track, starting from the one who qualified in eight place.
    Should a flying lap be invalidated by the Ptracker app following a crash, the driver on track must immediately get back to the pits by pressing the ESC key. A second attempt won't be allowed. Drivers forced to abandon their attempt will occupy grid positions form 8th upwards, according to the qualifying result they achieved during the first phase.
    Drivers must immediately get back to the pits by pressing the ESC key after completing their flying lap.
    Qualified drivers who lose connection to the server before being called on track, won't be able to take part in Superpole and should not try to rejoin the server until the end of the session. They will complete the grid by filling positions from 8th upwards, according to their qualifying result.
    Drivers who qualified below 8th position may spectate the Superpole session by remaining in the server, as long as they don't disrupt the session progress by joining the track. Drivers who lose connection to the server won't be able to rejoin it until the end of Superpole.

    Starting grid
    The starting grid for the race will be determined by the valid lap times set during the qualifying session (for position 20th to 9th) and Superpole (for positions 8th to 1st).
    Should one or more drivers fail to set a valid qualifying lap time, they will be placed at the back of the grid in the following order:
    1) drivers who started a flying lap in qualify;
    2) drivers who showed up for the qualifying session, but didn't leave the pit lane;
    3) drivers who did not show up for the qualifying session, according to their result achieved during the preliminary stage.

    Races
    All races will be held on an approximate distance of 70Km, which will be converted into a certain number of race laps according to the track length. Nevertheless, the number of race laps will always be specified in the section "Dettagli" (Details) of the scheduled event.
    Realism
    The following parameters will be used for races:
    Driving aids: Pro
    Stability control: OFF
    Mechanical damage: 100%
    Fuel consumption: ON
    Tyre wear: 1X

    Briefing, qualifying and race times
    The drivers' briefing will start at 9PM CET. It will be held on the AC-Italy.net TeamSpeak channel and it will be attended by one of the Race Stewards and by the Race Director. The briefing will last around 15 minutes.
    The qualifying session will start a few minutes after the end of the briefing, and will be announced by the Race Director via whisper (a TeamSpeak function which allows the Race Director to reach multiple subchannels, such as team ones, at once).
    The race will begin around five minutes after the end of the qualifying session. Once again, it will be announced by the Race Director via whisper.
    Before the beginning of the season, all competitors will receive via private message on AC-Italy.net the race schedule, containing detailed information regarding times, regulations and server names.

    Race results
    All drivers who take part in the race will be classified according to their number of completed laps, provided they've completed at least 75% of laps ran by the race winner.

    Scoring system
    The scoring system is as follows, and it's identical for both A and B licenses.
    1st 30
    2nd 28
    3rd 26
    4th 24
    5th 22
    6th 20
    7th 19
    8th 18
    9th 17
    10th 16
    11th 15
    12th 14
    13th 13
    14th 12
    15th 11
    16th 10
    17th 9
    18th 8
    19th 7
    20th 6
    21st 5
    22nd 4
    23rd 3
    24th 2
    25th 1

    Team score
    Team standings are independent of driver ones. Before the start of the Championship, teams will choose two of their drivers, whose point tallies combined will make up the team score.
    Should a team have more than two, same-license drivers in their line-up, it will be possible to nominate up to two different drivers per race, who will replace the one(s) appointed before the start of the season. Points achieved by the substitute driver(s) will count towards the team score. Substitute drivers must be announced by 11:59PM CET on the Saturday preceding the race week, by posting a message to the appropriate topic on the AC-Italy.net forums. Should no substitutes be nominated for the upcoming race, points achieved by the two drivers appointed before the start of the season will count towards the team score.

    Tiebreakers
    Whenever two drivers and/or teams are level on points, the one with the most wins is ranked higher. Should the number of wins be also the same, the better position goes to whoever achieves the most second places, and so on. Should these criteria be inconclusive, the result(s) accomplished during the last race will be prioritized.

    Prizes
    Prizes are awarded to:
    ⦁ the top three scorers for both championships (A-license and B-license).
    ⦁ the winning team of the A-license championship.
    Prizes will be given during the AC-Italy/SRZ rally, which will be held on July 15, 2017 at Misano Circuit (more info and how to participate will be given throughout the next weeks).
    Furthermore, drivers who finish in the top ten of the A-license championship will be able to book a slot for the same license during the next edition of the Porsche Supercup Championship, without having to take part in the preliminary stage. Drivers who finish in the top three of the B-license championship, instead, will grant themselves the right to book an A-license slot during the next edition of the Porsche Supercup Championship, without having to take part in the preliminary stage.

    The 150 ping rule is bollocks, this just shows poor understanding of internet connections and packet drop factor.

    ive seen 25 pingers warping and causing havoks.
    and 250 pingers stable as a rock.

    if you guys want to gather 50 drivers you should analyse this ping stuff better, the netcode in ac is pretty F. good till 300ms.
    250ms is a much better threashold for the cut and will allow more joiners for your league.

    Good luck and have fun on the league ;-)
    cheers!

    I agree with you mate: the most important parameter is the "ping variability", but 250 ms are too much even if you have stable ping values. Anyway, we based our observation on italian internet connections (some players have fiber optics, wich means low ping and stable connection, even with many devices connected to the modem/router, while others still have old adsl connections, with medium pings usually associated with higher variations, especially if they use more than one device connected to their modems). The 150 ms rule is just a base value, but we'll evaluate case by case.

    im from Brazil and ran some leagues with ALOOG witch is using France servers, im at 220-250ms ping every race and never had a problem while racing.
    I also admin ALOOG 6 Sunday Event Races on Nordschleife (30th edition already),with the same servers, same ping and never had a problem too.

    The case By case policy is much better, also good for subscribers to know about that :)
    Cheers!
