1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

REPORTED! PS4 - No Soft Lock with T300 wheel

I have seen scattered posts about the soft lock working or not working and I realized some people were reporting from different combinations of wheels (logitech or Thrustmaster) and console (xbox or ps4).

I am opening this thread to post that it is not working on ps4 with the Thrustmaster T300 wheel ever since the 1.09 update, including the latest 1.10 and 1.11 updates.

Please update if it is working for you or not and what wheel / system combination you have. OR if someone from Kunos can reply to state if this is known that would be great.

FYI - if you do not know what it is. Soft lock is when on a FFB wheel the rotation of the wheel is limited (through software) to stop/lock as a certain point to match how far the car can turn. To test this easily get into one of the open wheel formula cars (Lotus Exos 125 as an example) and go to cockpit view where you can see the drivers hands. Now turn your wheel and see if it stops when the wheel on the screen stops turning (alternative look at the cars from tires and see if they stop turning before your wheel will stop turning).

Edit - I forgot to mention, I opened a ticket with the 505 support and the person asked me to "delete" my wheels firmware and re-install it. .. I really hope that person meant just to upgrade the firmware. Either way.. I am gong to try and reinstall the latest firmware if the Thrustmaster Firmware updater will let me, but I doubt that will fix the issue.

Thank you for making a video that perfectly displays the issue. I should have done that in the first place.

The game doesnt have soft lock, at least on PC. From what Ive read on the forum soft lock isnt on the console version neither.

We have a 'experimental' soft lock on pc though but you have to activate it trough ini files, but it doesnt work that good.

There are people on xbox one that have stated it is working for them. On ps4 before update 1.09 we had it on our Thrustmaster T300 wheels.

I read what you stated about the PC version that it is turned on and off in a file. I am just wondering why it is not consistent for all platforms and wheels or why it changed after an update with nothing in the release notes about it. In the end it would be nice to be able to at least turn it off and on.

  7. im on the xbox one and my tx wheel stops like it should. i checked it with the ferrari f1 car and my wheel matches the wheel on screen and stops when it should

Just reporting no soft lock on my T300 wheel on PS4. All formula cars, the on screen wheel stops turning but physical wheel will continue to turn until it reaches it's maximum, as does any other car that has smaller-than-roadcar lock.
It makes controlling a spin difficult as you invariably tend to 'overshoot' the maximum lock of the car and when you try to countersteer, find you have no actual control !

  11. i have checked with vehicles from almost every manufacturer and different types of vehicles and soft lock works as it should, with the on screen wheel matching my tx wheel perfectly and stopping when they are supposed to. im on xb1

Do the wheel just stop or is it like it bounce back when you reach the lock?

  13. my tx wheel stops to match the wheel on screen, you can force it beyond the soft lock but it has no effect in game and bounces back when you let go

Same. T500, no softlock for me either.

BTW the reply to the ticket from the OP is just usual cheap talk, my wheel is updated to latest firmware and it still doesn´t work properly.

Thank you everyone for adding info to this post. Hopefully someone from Kunos has read through it.

I figured it was a mixed issue - working on Xbox One but not working on PS4.

They did reply back and say they would forward the info on to development. So at least I got the reply I wanted, just hoping they follow through and it lands in the right person's email inbox.

Just because its a poor implementation on PC doesnt mean that its the same thing on console. Apparently it works good.

Just because it works good on a console, doesn't mean that it shouldn't work good on the PC also.

Hi, I am using a G29 on PS4 and find it impossible to drift with 900degree. There are only a couple of wheels available which cannot change the DOR on the hardware side. I know this is a sim but many people just have an advantage who can change to DOR on the fly...900 is simply too much. All other sims and racing/rally games on the ps4 i have played have the option to change to DOR in the settings menu. PC users have the option to change it with a software too. So why wont you just give us an option in the settings menu to do that?? I only bought the game because I thought that the "visual DOR" in the video setting was actually DOR. YES, for me it was one of the most important argument to buy this game and now im even disappointed with the purchase of my wheel and the ps4.
Fact is that more then half of the wheels can change the DOR on the fly so your argument ...because its a sim... doesnt make any sense. This little thing will change EVERYTHING for me, so please KUDOS, PLEASE put a little slider in the options menu where you set the DOR. I will guarantee many more people will buy your game.
