1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

With 1.04 I could manage driving with 20 cars at +- 60 fps ..... with 1.05 beta 1st test.... I stopped the game after 5 minutes.
Undriveable ... alone at Zolder .... FPS very unstable ... it could be 35 to 100 in one second according to the track place ..... it was not a real stutter but more than a freeze ... surely 1 second blocked.

Practice ... alone .... offline .... sunny weather and this happens .... stop, I start to be fed up with that.
For optimization, Early Access was much better than this with the Unreal Engine 4 previous version .... not sure the move to the actual version was a good choice .. just a few weeks before V1.0 release.
It seems everything needed to be redone with this sudden move in a too short delay and now we have to deal with it.

I'm not asking too much as I know the limits of my own config.... ACC could handle lower graphics decently .... but now not any longer.
Now .... I just can only wait for better optimization .... how long will I wait ? not too long hopefully.

If people in this beta thread report issues (most importantly with logs and detailed info) a current beta branch hardly will make it as is into a public release.
The whole point of these betas is to TEST fixes for known issues and see if those fixes work. If a new beta turns up NEW ISSUES - those will be reported, fixes be developed or an entire new branch be released.
Only generally better running builds than the current public release will make it to a new public release.
No developer has interest in releasing a new build with known severe issues just as you and others have now reported.

If you ever have a problem with a build, public or beta attaching log files is THE ONLY means for a mod, developer or even a technically savy other forum member to help you and more importantly to document issues and develop fixes for future builds.
It is never a waste of time.
You may not get a pat on the back or a thank you for it as devs and mods are likely busy actually developing or … you know … also being just humans and having a holiday or spending time with family and friends away from the internet forum ;-)

For anyone who has stuttering issues with the current build I am curious HOW they run their CPU.
Perhaps the mode their CPU is run in matters here as well.
As I run a machine dedicated exclusively to sim racing my CPU is LOCKED at 4.7GHz and any energy saving, throttling, etc is off by default.
If the CPU or worse Windows has any control over throttling the CPU it may be a possible cause for some people to result in the issues they are seeing?
