1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Races with tyre wear & fuel consumption multipliers?

I'm 700 hours into the game, so stay with me here for a moment and hear me out, haha

We have public servers that mostly are 20-25 minutes races, so they're basically just sprints in perfect conditions both track and the car.
That makes them lack of the most interesting parts of the normal league / competition races - pitstops, tyre wear struggle, full tank pace struggle and so on.

I think it's time for us all to really, really pretty-please ask Kunos to add the tyre wear/fuel consumption multipliers feature into the game. And maybe 1x instant repair for the servers with SA 70 or lower.
I think it's even not that hard to do.

    Pros are obvious:
    - Fun

    - Extra more fun

    - If you're new and you get killed at the start of the race - it's not the end for you because you can use an instant repair once per 70 or lower SA race

    - Much more freedom for leagues to plan their races, they'll be able to do so much more interesting stuff with this, maybe we'll even see some mini-endurance races? When you'll have to make 3-5 pit stops but the whole race would only take 2-3 hours. That makes it possible to participate in it alone which is very fun for people who don't have friends to join endurance races with (which are the most interesting races imo).

    - More attention from youtube simracers that spend their time in GTS instead of ACC for exactly this reason: they can have a full 1.5 hour race in just 20-30 minutes, which is great for making entertaining content. That means more views for them and more sales for Kunos. Looks like a win-win to me.

    - That could potentially lead to more people coming to ACC and here we go, Kunos could finally add some sort of ELO-based matchmaking, so you can choose the track, the multipliers and click "Race", then wait 5-10 minutes and get joined into a race.
This feature is so long overdue and restricts so many people from having some instant fun instead of monitoring all the leagues websites for weeks, finding teammates etc. to have fun.
We don't have anything like that except Simgrid daily races, and there they are mixing you up with the drivers of such a different skill levels that you don't have much action in half of the races if not even more. You either get killed or having a few seconds gaps in front and behind you. And these races are still just sprints. No pitstops, not enough time for tyre wear to show it's effects on the car behavior, no full tank races, no fun :(

    Cons:
    - None!

What do you guys think? Makes sense or we should all just forget about it and wait a couple of years for AC2?

Great post but wishlists get locked here. Ideas might be incorporated later if they work but no guarantee.
