1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Radeon r9 270x 4gb

Discussion in 'Chit Chat Room' started by Trampas Kolthoff, May 3, 2014.

  1. So I just chose this card over the gtx 760 due to it being 4gb instead of 2gb for triple monitor in AS. Did I make the right choice? They were the same price I just figured the extra video ram would help with the multiple displays... Any feedback will be appreciated! Thanks

There is so little difference between them, you cant go wrong either way.

4GB will help with multiple displays, but the power is just not there. With both cards.

Its not quite a powerful enough GPU to make use of the full 4GB (very few are). If its using the full 4GB (or over 2.5, really) its just saturated and getting backed up. The only real benefit you'd see with 4GB over 2GB is if you plan to Crossfire, then you'd get nice gains over a 2GB card. Since they were the same price, there's no harm. Still a great card, and good buy.

I think it will be all about your CPU now, for boost some performance on your GPU, mine R9 270x TOXIC its good but cant use all the power because my CPU bottleneck a lot...:( gonna buy new CPU and MOBO soon, Fx 8350 +

Hi, an GTX 760/770 cant adress 4 gb of RAM fast enough , caused by 256 mbit memory interface

@ jamba : any card in SLI/Crossfire gives a gain , but it depends on how high your resolution should be on Triple

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a 270X probably isn't gonna be adequate for a triple monitor setup unless you're running lower resolutions and/or very low settings.

And that 4GB isn't going to help you at all over a 2GB model.

Send it back if you can, get a refund and then buy the most powerful card you can afford. Between the two cars mentioned, the GTX760 is generally faster, and I think in terms of Assetto Corsa specifically, Nvidia cards tend to do better.
