1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Peter Boese gives a very good and comprehensible guide in his manual for the gbW Suite 2.5.1.

    You need the following mods:
    1. Content Manager by Ilja Jusopov: https://assettocorsa.club/content-manager.html
    2. Shaders Patch by Ilja Jusupov: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=12Y2QKNUUeFwIsyG9GYcNiJcaqEcZl4ir
    3. gbW Suite 2.5.1 (with hotfix 06) by Peter Boese: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/good-and-bad-weather-suite.19484/
    4. Wet Mod 1.7 by Alberto Fracasso: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/assetto-corsa-wet-mod-by-a-fracasso.22468/

You just need to select the wet track you want to drive/race on in your track selection screen and CM and Peter's files will do everything for you.
You don't have to copy any files by your own after downloading and "installing" (extracting) the four programmes/mods from above.

Edit: For "rain" on your windscreen you can either use Ilja's CM-inside app "ACC Ext Rain" (settings/assetto corsa/apps) or BLM Car 1.5.4 by Blamer (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/blm-car.23472/).

Thank you @Alistair McKinley that is exactly what I was hoping for.
I have been driving in the rain earlier, using the tracks from Alberto Fracasso, their is water spray, which is nice, but driving wet Goodwood or wet LA Canyon, no spray. o_O

The wet mod uses the dirt effect to create spray, hence needing to add DIRT_ADDITIVE= to tarmac layers for tracks which don't come with the wet mod (where this is already done for you.)

Something that didn't cross my mind when I replied to you on RD is maybe you don't need to backup the surfaces.ini for these tracks that aren't included but could possibly add them to the track folder in the wet mod itself. I'm not sure if the tracks would need to be renamed though as there would be tracks in the wet mod folder and the normal tracks folder with the same name, I think all the vanilla wet mod tracks are already renamed with "wet" on the end to stop conflict with the Kunos versions. I guess someone could release an addon mod for wet mod with additional tracks that can be added to the wet mod tracks folder. The main one I am interested in is Goodwood but I don't know how to go about renaming a track so I will wait and hope someone else does it :D

Just follow Peter's manual which is included in the files you download from RaceDepartment.
He explains that you don't have to copy any weather file from the wet mods - just the track "layout" which goes into the assettocorsa/content/track/xy folder.

All the textures for rain are exchanged by CM and gbW Suite automatically. You don't have to worry about this.
That is why I love those 4 mods/programmes so much. You don't have to worry about anything once you have set up everything.

Speaking of the wet mod for LA Canyon: Just Kauser deleted his wet mod yesterday. Maybe because there were some problems with the file structure for CM. I just copied/extracted all the files manually into the Shaders Patch's folder and it worked/works.

To sum it up (and repeat myself): I just followed Peter's manual (his instructions on how to get everything to work) and everything works.

You are absolutely correct when using every thing from the list above, it all works, even the spray on LA canyon, actually with G&B suite rain weather all tracks have spray.
Quite remarkable, if only it was not so hard on FPS ( in VR), but that is an other subject for an other time.:D
