1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

[Request to Kunos] Porting Formula 1600, 1800 & 2000 from netKar PRO to Assetto Corsa

I have a request to Kunos Simulazioni to port the Formula 1600, 1800 and 2000 from their old title netKar PRO to Assetto Corsa. Please consider giving these great cars a home in AC.

As "fictional" unbranded cars I would assume these do not require licenses (unless Kunos would consider licensing one of the real manufacturers for a DLC release), but of course bringing these cars over to AC will require work and it's certainly up to Kunos to decide if it's worth it. I recognise they're busy with other things, just asking politely. :)

IMO Formula cars slightly below the Tatuus-Abarth F3/4 (at least for the F1600/1800) would be a welcome addition expanding the ladder of Formula cars in AC and I'd assume porting of cars by modders isn't authorised (?). I'm sorry if I missed a previous statement by the devs about this topic.

PS: Please implement the engine type, drivetrain, weight distribution tech stats/specs for AC too.

Good one. I have great memories of 1600 @ Prato. It was even available in demo, wasn't it?

    Yes, believe so.

  5. As someone who never played NetKar, I too would love to see these in AC, especially those two non-downforce ones.

Maybe permission to modders to port? I know I'd be up for it.

  6. They are unlicensed, fictional cars. What is stopping modders from making them?

  7. Surely they're licensed to Kunos, same as any Kunos tracks?

  8. I find strange that nobody has make those cars (or similar ones) for AC after all these years.

There was a F1600 mod on these forums, I suppose that project is long abandoned.

What I had more in mind was Kunos officially porting their own content themselves because as official release it'd be immediately available to all players, stay updated, come to consoles as well, and the cars as they were in that game were already really well done. But if anyone wants to start from scratch, sure, why not.

I would prefer official content, that's why I made the thread here. Simply getting it on Kunos' radar at least. But if you want to make a paid mod nothing keeps you from it. Likely that Kunos will never bring them over, but one can at least ask.

  14. Well, they would need to improve those cars heavily, as they are far from being acceptable for current standards.

Don't care much about them TBH. I'd rather have real life cars.

The cars in netKar Pro were modelled after real life cars. F1600, F2000 exists. It would be up to Kunos to acquire the licences.

I doubt a simple "port" would be all that is required, I'd assume a lot more work would need to be put into the models to bring them up to AC standards.
Also licence issues would need to be considered.
If the plan was to port everything across from previous titles then they would have done that by now, because we haven't seen a single thing move across from both titles I think it's a safe assumption it won't ever happen.

I do agree that something comparable to the entry level F1600 is missing from the AC pantheon of cars.

AMS has the Formula-Vee and the F-Trainer (based on Formula Ford) / rF2 has the Skippy; they are among the best driving cars in their respective titles IMO so I sure wouldn't mind having something similar in AC for sure.

Agreed with OP. I would love to have the F1600 to race around Aviano again :)

After watching all those Skip Barber races on IRacing, I too have been looking for a Formula Vee / Ford equivalent for AC(without luck). However I agree with OP that official content would be much better from an online racing perspective.
