1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

RLM Beta Teams Stress-Test / Suzuka / 50 Teams

Endurance racers, it is time to put the new team endurance features in ACC to a proper stress test! Join our team stress test event with your team on Thursday, Feb. 20. We will drive in beautiful Suzuka with a grid of 50 teams.

Signup with your team here: https://www.redlinemotorsport.co.uk/championships/136

    Schedule:
    Thursday, Feb. 20
    P – 20:00 GMT – 30 min
    Q – 20:30 GMT – 15 min
    R – 20:45 GMT – 60 min

Teams can have 2-6 drivers each. New random weather option will be used!

This is a test race, so finishing position is not important; please try to trick the system in every possible way! Especially, we would like you to test
    • Do you get accurate Driver Stint Time shown in you HUD? Is the Driver Stint Time exactly the same for every driver in your team (while driving)? Note that for the spectating drivers, the stint timer might not be accurate (but it should be for each driver who is currently driving)
    • Do you have any problem completing mandatory pitstops?
    • Can you swap drivers back and forth, even when not the first driver of your team enters the server first?
    • If you set TC to 0 and then pit and swap the car to another driver, does we start with TC 0 as designed?
    • Can you change from Dry to Wet tyres and back to Dry? Can you adjust the PSIs in the MDF display for every tyre type? Can every driver of your team adjust PSIs?
    • When you serve a DT penalty, does the Driver Stint Timer freeze and continue to run after you exited the pits? Without resetting?
    • After qualifying, do you get the correct grid position for the race start? Any “randomization” in grid position going on before the race start?
    • When you get any penalty, can server admins clear the penalty without problem?
    • Can you swap drivers during Practice or Quali using the new text chat command “%swap X” (where X is the number of the target driver in the team list; 1 selects the first entry).

    List of currently known issues/limitations:
    • Stint timer is not always accurate for the spectating player
    • Spectating player may focus on a different car upon join, make sure you select your entry in the timetables before pressing drive.
    • If after pressing drive you're still focused on the wrong car, use Shift+ L/R arrow keys to find your car in Drive mode. Wrong focus won't happen after that.
    • Standings and Timetables show the first player of the entry after joining until the active player completes a sector before updating the name to the correct one.
    • Realtime widget is showing the active player's name from the moment of joining - standings widget updates after 1 sector is driven.
    • If spectating clients join/rejoin in a car that is already on track, lights, wipers will only show the correct state when triggered again.
    • Example: car on track has lights on when a spectating player joins, he'll only see the lights on after it is triggered again in the session.
    • Spectating players currently do not see visual damage on their own car until driving. Correct visual damage is only seen properly by the driving player. Visual damage on other cars is always seen correctly.

One issue that still exist after a driver swap is the best lap time delta not working at all until you beat the fastest lap of your car, it remains stuck at 0.000 in gray. Pretty annoying, we should get the optimum laptime delta either working with the car optimum, or reset itself for the new driver, but 0.000 isn't of any help (especially when you are the slow driver of the team, delta never ever work for you in the whole race :D )

Guys you are awesome, 42 teams registered for tonight’s driver swap test, only 8 slots left!

Some more info about the event (starts 20:00 GMT):

    - Venue: Suzuka
    - Server name: Redline Beta Teams Test (search for "Redline" in the ACC server browser)

    Rules:
    - 2 mandatory pitstops in the race (refueling etc. is all optional)
    - All drivers of your team need to drive at least one stint
    - Fully dynamic weather with "simracerWeather"
    - We will test out Driver Stint Time limitations:

For a team of 2 drivers: max. of 37.5 minutes each (check MFD to see the times)
For a team of 3 drivers: max. of 25 minutes each
For a team of 4 drivers: max. of 18.75 minutes each
    and so on

Remember: if you encounter any bugs or odd things, please report it in our Discord or here in Kunos forum with a detailed description incl. screenshots ("driver swap not working" will obviously not help to track down your specific issue )

Have fun tonight, and happy testing!

This was just a test to catch a few more bugs, but a 3h race will take part in two weeks at Bathurst and that one will be streamed.

  8. Yesterday's race is the pure essence of ACC. That was just... super COOL.
I joined with my teammate Raffaele Di Nardo and we could have tried some combinations about things that do not work as intended.
The server was set with me as the driver? Cuz Raffaele joined the server first and he was a spectator. I joined later and I had the car in hands. We tried a driver swap during the practice session and all worked as intended. Raffaele had the car.
After the server restart, we joined again and Raffaele was the driver, I was the spectator. Is that planned to "memorize" the last driver and to set it as the new driver after the server restart? May that be the reason about those two guys who were spectators after the restart?
Btw, we only had new 1 bug we interfaced with, other than those who people reported (i.e. virtual mirror):
    1) If the spectator presses the ignition button when spectating, after the swap he has to press it again to start up the engine, after the race we asked ourself "Does the spectator button memorizes also light and wipers?" Need to check.

Thanks for organizing that test. We had an awesome fun evening! :D
