1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory.
  2. FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE: If you report issues with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder!
  3. If your game executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, then run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether.

Dynamic names would be awesome as well.

I was thinking about the PRO-AM feature. Let's say we have 5 skill ranks, from A to E, and my server allows A, B and C raked players. It could be that the A players are Pro, B players are Pro-AM and C players are Am. But it's such a small detail that it doesn't matter that much, all that changes AFAIK is the sticker on the car and the color of the position display.

Perhaps it would be better used in career mode. You can start as an AM driver, then if you do well you become a PRO.

It does give some possibilities, but it's not that important of an aspect.

As far as the spray goes: We spent the whole day yesterday talking about features missing because those are WIP images and still people don't realise that the game isn't ready yet.

My guess is we'll be able to choose an abbreviation.

I'm hopeful we'll see better implementation of metallic (and for the first time chrome) paint for the liveries in ACC than was the case in AC. Should be doable with UE4.

  5. Looking fantastic so far considering it a wip game with no release date , glad kunos hasnt dated it yet as i feel the amount of nit picking would be at an astronomical level o_O

EA is planned for this summer already.
And there always will be picky few no matter how polished the content is. Some stuff is just not THAT important.

Curious how many weather conditions ACC is going to have and if there is dynamic transition during the race.
I see that rain is confirmed as it's featured in 99.99% of screenshots, how AC could even exist without one. :)
And the remaining 0.01% is night. :D

  8. Marco said only weather featured when the races are on , and im sure he said no snow in the racedepartment interview.

My question was more about how many weather conditions the users will be able to choose from.
Even for rain alone we can have light drizzle, light rain, heavy rain, light storm, thunderstorm, etc.
Like featured in Good Bad Weather Suite. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/good-and-bad-weather-suite.19484/

In the UK we call that “summer”.

My guess is we won't get anything to extreme, just what is acceptable racing conditions in real life. So no thunderstorms, because they wouldn't have a race during a thunderstorm. I'd say light rain would be the cut off, unless you want the ultra realistic ability to have a race red flagged because the conditions are so bad.

By "only weather" you mean no transitions? That would be the disappointment of the day for me.

I don't think that you can't race on anything heavier than light rain. Of course if there's a thunderstorm and the track becomes a river there will be a red flag, but Sepang 12 hour a few years ago had quite a heavy shower and the race moved on, Nurburgring 24 last year had heavy rain in some parts with a dry track in others and the race continued even with a lot of cars going off. Even F1 2017 has stormy conditions even though any rain will bring a red flag in F1 these days.

We already get the disappointment of red flags every time it rains in F1 because of "safety", there's no need to bring that boredom to the virtual world.

Sorry to disappoint you but RL can be boring sometimes. :) Joke.

Jokes aside ... what about indeed having rain in 1 part of the track and no rain on another?!
Or this is too much to ask for?

That's exactly what I'm saying. If RL has to be boring by red flagging races with heavy rain due to safety, at least in simracing where nobody is gonna hurt themselves we don't need that stuff.

I'm not sure it's worth the effort in circuits that aren't nearly as big as the Nordschleife, considering that it's really rare to have rain in one side and dry weather at the other side of a circuit of 2km extention like Spa, for example.

    From ACC official website:

"Assetto Corsa Competizione will give players the opportunity to compete in different moments of the entire 24-hour arc under a dynamic weather system thanks to a highly realistic graphical reproduction of weather conditions and visibility."

You have made 2 examples of tracks that are likely to have a condition - rain at 1 part of the track and no rain on another.
2 tracks out of 11 race calendar- not that long.

So asking if we will have such conditions ingame is very important question!

As for the tracks enviroment, if ACC really want to impress me, they should have spectators getting dressed for the weather, like umbrellas popping up when the rain starts.

These ladies&gents are getting wet (and where's the damn activity in the pits?):

Would truly be amazing to see this, once the rain kicks in:
