Drivers,

Welcome to the inaugural SeeTheAir.com Assetto Corsa series in the Porsche RSR 2017. We've finally been blessed with private/custom lobbies on PS4, and although not perfect (far from it actually), with a little bit of team-work, we can succeed in running a series on this platform.

We'll be using the RSR car instead of the actual GT3 Cup car due to it having more tuning options and tire compounds, hopefully adding to the quality of racing.

The biggest limitation we have to get around is that AC has no in-game chat (thanks Kunos). To further hinder our attempt at a successful series, PSN party chat only allows for 8 players (thanks playstation). So get this to work, we will have to use Discord. It is available on mobiles as well as pc and mac. We would connect through Discord, and have an ear-bud style headphone under your normal headphones. This is the only way we can have 16 drivers communicating at the same time.

For those of you who don't have the game, as flawed as UI is, has the best FFB on console. Period. Totally worth it IMHO.

The format of the series is as follows:

Room opens at 8pm EST.

- 30 minute practice
- Quali 1: 10 minutes
- Race 1: 10 laps (sprint style)
- Quali 2: 10 minutes
- Race 2: 20 laps (min 1 pit stop mandatory)

ABS on
SC off
Tyre blankets on

Realism:
Fuel rate 100%
Damage rate 100%
Tyre wear rate 150%
Allowed tires out 2 (this reffers to the number of tires permitted off the track, for in-game penalties)
Qualify limit 120%

Special rules and mentions:
- In the effort of keeping things as 'real-life' as possible, pit from menu (or insta-pit) is prohibited under race conditions. It is considered an unfair advantage and under no circumstances is this allowed.
- Since there are no savable replays in AC, drivers are encouraged to stream to youtube or twitch. I strongly suggest this, We will need footage to refer to in case we need to review a race for Drivers court decisions. Having no footage to back up a claim makes it harder for presiding officials to make a decision.
