1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I bought my first two ffb wheels (DFGT and G25) second hand on eBay for a very good price. And they still work flawlessly.

Maybe you think forza's physics are ok o or driveclub .please don't say nonsenses, nice work with sim Kunos.
Ps I'm AM drifter and it's exactly the same way to drive, but I see people trying to drift forza mode and looks ridiculos.

Can afford $80 for a game, $500 on console, $$$ on controllers etc etc but cant afford $100-150 on second hand wheel. I call BS!

Physics programmed by a two year old? Please go and drive a car and then comment on the physics.

  6. You must take time for every car. Even old race cars have total different brake points than modern racecars. Maybe on some point you will like the street cars too ;)

Physics on this game are night and day better than Forza and Gran Turismo regardless of input device. This coming from me who played both exclusively due to their console dominance in this genre on wheel and controller daily due to certain limitations, exploits and advantages of each in the different forms of motorsport in each game. The most important aspect for controllers is like mentioned previously is setting up sensitivity to feel comfortable.

I got my game on the 25th before most of my teammates in the US and was asked many questions about physics on controller as half my team uses controllers and half use varying racing wheels. I took my PS4 and AC to a friend who is a casual forza player(prefers forza horizon to forza motorsport) and plays only on controller. I showed him the sensitivity settings which he would not normally mess with on any of his games, gave him a basic explanation of the ones I knew and said just experiment with them since I used a wheel and it didn't affect me, then put him in the online drift lobby to try it out freely. In no time he was back in the menus playing with the sensitivity. I left him with it and he must have sat there for over an hour straight going in and out from the track and settings and got to a point where it felt extremely comfortable for him. Now I know how both FM and GT feel on controller as I said and replicated both on AC already with the great flexibility in these settings, Kunos has done an excellent job done there and thus I expected his settings to feel very much like forza, surprisingly it felt totally different to both so I assume he found settings that were even more comfortable to him than his beloved forza.

  8. Hey he have apologized. Everybody from us was at some point new to sim racing. Some sooner some later. His OP was a bit over the edge. But I'm happy that he change his mind after trying different cars.
It's not so easy driving street cars because a race sim never can simulate real speeds. You must develop a feeling for it. In most console race games the cars have similar break points and not such a advanced tyre model. So it takes time to get a feeling for each car.

I used to own an Abarth 500,what a load of serious good fun and the the physics of this car in the sim is spot on.I am amazed at how close they have it.The sound is spot on too.I'd forgotten how much fun i had in that thing,i might have to get another.Same goes for the Ruf's,i have driven some older 911's and just the feel of the back end getting away from you is the same in Assetto Corsa. Please get a wheel if you can and take time to learn how the cars feel.Remember this is not a game,it's a sim and a great one too.I'm sure you will love it but you must put in the time.ENJOY

hello everyone, just say i´m AM drifter and i use controller pad to play A C by now. It´s wonderfull finally a race sim that you have to do the same things to drift as real life car, only the fear isn´t sim, and tyres should blow up if you don,t watch temperature, psi increases with drift laps until the tyres blow.
    Almost perfect.
Ford escort´s sounds like bmw i use to drift exactly same sound.well done kunos but the engine of this car it´s hard to drift when should be easy ,i mean 2nd gear enough strong but goes down when try power over drift technique. If can someone help me with this thing ,thank u all.

i own the PC version and the Xbox one vers, well no doubts console version need lots of tweak yet ( no leaderboards, no custom controls, frame rate issue, no seat adjust control etc etc) but regardings of physics it the best out on the market, absolutely stunning.

I agree, there are problems on console. fingers crossed the devs will sort them out in time.I spent some time on Assetto Corsa on the nordschleife in the Ruf yellowbird,i then did the same with project cars and could not believe how the Assetto version was so planted which gives you confidence, along with the ffb. What we need is,for console anyway,is the eye candy and options of project cars with the physics of Asetto we have now.

Dang, I was afraid of that. First, no sorry, I don't know how the settings are on console (maybe post a quick image of how the console settings look and I can figure it out?). Second, I just realized I posted the wrong settings anyway (these are from an old profile, my new controller settings are better) :D

Mad respect for the first page or two of replies that didn't criticize and actually try to help someone enjoy a game the way it was designed.

  17. The Controller Steering is great in Arsetto Corsa. I'm sure that some guys on controller can be set very fast times. After the update turning into corner feels no smoother. Only catch a car after oversteering is challenging with controller.
But you can develop a great feeling for the car and feel always in touch. Not like in pcars where you often had the feeling that you have not full control.

Best simulator on Console as far as physics. My oppinion anyway. I have been a forza drifter for years and many many more games. AC hands down wins in my eyes. Not only that AC is a baby at the present time. Wait until it walks and then even runs ahead of other games. Going to be hard competition one KUNOS gets on top of things!

  20. No doubt about that. But comparison between Forza and Arsetto Corsa is unfair for both sides. There two worlds.
Forza is a game with reduced physics. I mean the cars understeer, oversteer but every cars feels similar in some aspects.
Arsetto corsa is a real sim. Every car feels different and have it's own challenges.
