1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Share you VR moment.

As I was racing a Kart this morning at Sonoma, I realized we need a thread we're we can share a particularly pleasurable moment we had in VR, either today, or this week or this month. One we want to share for other to try.
I wanted to share the Kart moment because, back in the days, before VR, I tried that mod on a monitor. My thought at the time was meh!
This morning in VR, like in so many other occasion, it all clicked, it was a blast, I was there.
The little 2 stroke engine was ringing dinging in my ears, the plastic seat was vibrating when accelerating, thank you butt kicker, the other Karts were right there next and around me and off we went for a Kart race. Awesome!
    Just had to share it.

Since I first used my Rift a couple days ago, every time I've tried it has been a moment for me. Especially any moment in a open cockpit car.

There is just so many occasions like that with VR, 7 months in and still I find it awesome!

The little things like sometimes you're driving and you think, when did I put on the sparco gloves?....oh no wait those aren't my hands!!

Was once standing beside the tuned supra in nords tourist online session, seen a 458 heading for the track and reached out for the door handle of the supra to get in and follow!!

Yes, so many, I agree, it as been a year for me this month, that is why, if we take the time to share them one by one, as they just happened, before they are super seeded by the next awesome moment, then it will inspire others to check combo they might not have enjoyed in VT yet.:)

Since I'm still a VR noob, I honestly can't decide which car and track I want to try next. I want to try everything and there isn't enough time. :D

Download the Kart track as well, they are lost on conventional tracks.

Which track should I search for? The ones I found are low quality.

I found a link the tracks on a google drive download, the Kart track I am using is Sonoma GP, I did not install them all on my track drive, as I will learn one first and then add some if needed.
My favorite Kart is the shiftless 125cc.
This what Gamer Muscle had to say about the experience in VR.

Highly recommend trying the Caterham mod, doesn't get much more open than that.

The other day, I finished a 20 lap race in SP. Started 6th, fought my way to second, and spent the last 6 or 7 laps battling for P1. Lots of wheel-to-wheel, but only taking the lead a couple times, briefly. When the race was over, I removed the headset with a big smile, and was watching the times of the other cars as they crossed the line. I didn't realize it, but I was unconsciously fumble-searching for something near my waist with my left hand. I went to get up from the rig, but suddenly felt trapped and looked down with that irritating feeling you get when you can't find the seat belt buckle in a car you're not familiar with. I just started laughing to myself. That's what I had been doing with my left hand, while watching the race times. Force of habit. I know real race cars have harnessed, not seat belts, but I've never driven a real race car. But I always wear my seat belt when driving, and my brain had been totally tricked into thinking I was in a real car. The ride was over, and force of habit had me reaching for my seat belt. :D

    Simply...amazing!

Best Kart-experience so far! But I have a big problem with the AI-opponents, they are VERY bad. They permanently turn the steering wheel very fast left-right-left-right-left-r.....
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Perhaps the old mod can't handle the latest AC-updates (AI-updates...)?
It's such a pitty that this wonderful mod seems not to be worked on anymore (only version 0.3 since many many months...).
Please help (if possible)! Thank you!

The version I downloaded has no issue with the AI, or other wise.
I was looking for the tracks and ended up somewhere with a link to both the tracks and the karts.

Don't know if this will help, but after the big AI update, I definitely saw some improvement in them, but later I had an unrelated issue and was forced to do a reinstall. After the reinstall, I noticed that the AI was different. Still the huge improvement I had been experiencing, but their aggression was toned down, and their track behavior was a little more... I don't know... better is the only word I can think of. It's hard to explain, but after mentioning it in another forum, a few others tried a reinstall and said they also noticed a slight change for the better. If it's really bugging you, you might want to give that a shot.

I had an other very interesting VR moment earlier, I would like to share. I was driving the Lamborghini Miura, at one point I thought an AI was trying to pass me on my right as I was braking for the apex, I could not see him in the mirror, the side mirror on the Miura are ridicously small, so I turned my head back, still could not see him since the rear view in the Miura is obstructed, but what is there to obstruct was even more interesting to see, the huge V12 is right there, a few centimetre right behind me, that was awesome and my VR moment of the day.:D

Hmm, downloaded it again but still same problem. Can you please have a look at your opponents on a straight and confirm that they do NOT permanently turn their steering wheels left-right-left-right...?
Don't understand what's the problem... Can anyone post a video that it is working. Or I could post a video that it is not working but I don't know how to do this (I've never made a video of my gameplay yet).

VR changes every racing sim which supports it for the better in my opinion.
Especially openwheelers are a blast. Also tracks with lot of elevation changes come to life.
I just started recording some of my races in VR:

Sorry for noob question but how can I make such a video in VR (which software? Is it difficult?)?

    No noobquestion! I’m a noob myself. :D
I think there are many other programs to do that, but I use shadowplay for that, it’s part of the Geforce Experience.
Once you’re in the game just press you defined keys for recording and it starts to record your gameplay.
