1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Some sort of infotable on all the cars or ability to change controls in-session?

I don't know about you, but I have created two control presets for my G25 – one where gear up and down is selected with paddles, and one – with stick. When I want to join any session, when selecting a car I don't know what kind of shifting – paddle or stick – that car uses. And as far as I can tell, to find out I must go the the specific car's showroom and look through the window if it has paddles or not. That's very frustrating. Maybe I don't know something? It would be of course great if I could load the needed preset in-session, but I don't think it is realistic to expect that?

  3. If you are using an H-pattern the game will automatically switch for you. (H-pattern won't work in paddle cars, and vice versa)

I almost never use the H pattern as I rarely drive cars that use it. Most of the cars use paddle shifting or sequential stick shifting.

There is a tick box in the controller options to have the correct shifter for the car. If you put the tick in AC will sort the correct one for the car.

edit: If you only want to use the paddles then leave it unticked.

Where is this check box? I can't find it.

  7. If you want to switch between paddles and a sequential stick then you have to do it manually each time. Hopefully at some point Kunos will make it where we can set custom controls per car.

Not sure of the name of the option but it is the second tab in the controller settings where you will find the gearshifter options.

edit: Ah! So he wants to use sequencial and paddles, not h shifter. Then MH is absolutely correct. Sorry I was thinking you wanted the right shifter for the right car. Could you not use software to combine the paddles and sequential as a fix right now?

Ferrari 458 GT2 and Bmw m3 GT2 you can use the sequential stick. In this moment, I don't remember which other car uses the seq stick.

Have you tried the wheel configuration wizard? I think there's an option after paddles config where you can also config the sequential stick and the h-pattern stick. I have a G27 so never tried that, since I only need to load the g27 preset.

  10. You can only assign paddles or sequential stick in the options; not both at the same time unfortunately.

or just map you paddles to seq. shifter so they are the same ...

  12. How do you do that? I would love to use my sequential while shifting on the straights and use my paddles to shift in the turns.

well in profiler of your DFGT you assign to right paddle "New Command" in popup window press start recording, upshift with your seq. shifter (seq. down), press stop recording, name that command "ShiftUP" f.e., press OK ... same thing with left paddle and seq.downshifting... that is for seq shifter build in DFGT, for separate shifter you need to use joy2key or another 3th party SW ...

That thing with shifting seq. on straight and paddle shift in corners was joke/sarcasm ? :)

  14. Yeah, I always drive with one hand on the wheel and the other on my shifter. And my DFGT has stupid buttons instead of paddles. When the day comes that I get a nice wheel with actual paddles it will be a hard choice to make between whether to use them or the sequential.

I was hoping you knew some way to configure both in game, but still good tips on how to use the Logitech Profiler. (I need to remember how I had the boost mapped to the rotary dial on my wheel using the profiler)

I have a G25. Is this what you're talking about:

    upload_2015-12-16_18-51-41.png

When I click "Record" and push the stick down, should something appear in "Command Contents" field?

Edit: never mind, I missed this bit: "that is for seq shifter build in DFGT, for separate shifter you need to use joy2key or another 3th party SW"

So is this it? Then I better create some sort of Excel table that lists all the cars and what type of shifting they use...

You don't need to. If your shift up/down and shift 6 gears is set up (with the separate shifter ticked), then if you for e.g load the ford escort, the game will only let you use the 6 speed manual shifter. But for example the 458 gt2, you can use either paddles or sequential stick, the game won't let you use 6 speed manual shifter. Besides that car, there is only the bmw m3 gt2 that uses a sequential stick and the p4/5 competizione 2011. From what I remember.

Shakurazz, did you check in the wheel wizard (wheel controls page) if you can have configured both paddles and sequential stick at the same time, along with the h-pattern shifter?

Ouffy, your first two sentences are not correct. And if they were, there wouldn't be a need for the third one about cars. I checked the wizard. There is no option to assign sequential shifting to paddles and stick simultaneously, as Michael said. So we are left with having to manually check which preset is loaded and creating a table with the info because I cannot remember all cars' shifting type. I think I should post this to Support section as well, maybe the developers would implement at least an option where you would see the info about the car when hovering above it with the mouse.

You don't have to create a table with all cars. Only three cars, from what I remember, use a sequential stick in the cockpit instead of paddles. Those three cars are: ferrari 458 gt2, bmw m3 gt2, p4/5 competizione 2011. But even with these cars, you can use paddles without worries, since is just shifting up and down the gears.
Have you tried the wheel wizard yet? In wheel controls page, in the game menu.

I'm pretty sure the older single-seaters use sequential stick as well. You, see I CANNOT use paddles with those cars you mentioned because I want as authentic experience as it's possible, which means that I want to use paddles when the car has paddles and vice versa. Yes, as I said in my last post, I tried the wizard, and you can't assign sequential shifting buttons to paddles and stick simultaneously.
