1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I have seen much information on this forum regarding creating a 'Stable Platform' to build on and thousands of ideas/requests for further additions/development. Can anyone give me an idea of what and when we can expect changes such as updates and patches and the (basic) process by which this is implemented. Thanks

Take a look at these, how the PC version was constantly updated over time, and you know what to expect:

The main difference is that the patches all have to go through a certification process by Microsoft/Sony on consoles, so it takes quite a bit longer for updates to reach your console and the developers are more likely to bundle patches together in bigger updates with more time in between them to reduce costs that come up through this process.

Thanks everyone for your contributions - I have been well informed - I have seen how much hard work and complications involved in fixing even the tiniest bugs make the changes Kunos are facing such a time consuming task. Are there really only 3 of them doing all that work? Great Sim boys - Thankyou (a bit fanboy but ....)

I believe Stefano mentioned at some point that only three or four people worked on the console port, yeah. They also mentioned at some point that the whole team is just about 30 people and most of them do content (3D artists, sound designer, etc) - only very few programmers. Maybe a few more people work on fixing the console version now but it's really just a handful of people working on this. Before partnering with 505 Games to release the sim on consoles Assetto Corsa was purely a self-published indie release too. (doesn't excuse the state of the sim on consoles but you can see why it happened and how they have to release and update it)

I loved his passion and obvious skills - I played Project Cars and hoped it would be THE racing game/sim and was fairly vocal on that forum too and was ultimately disappointed. I bought Assetto with little expectation, and have been caught by the same bug - I really hope that they achieve their goals, our needs, and, hopefully the next game I buy will be Assetto Corsa 2 in a couple of years. Times tickin.....
