1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    From this article http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/...s-and-guidelines-for-early-access-developers/

Valve lays out new rules and guidelines for Early Access developers

Early Access developers must also avoid "specific promises about future events," such as when a game will be finished or what features are planned for future updates. "Customers should be buying your game based on its current state, not on promises of a future that may or may not be realized," Valve writes.

what happens now with Kunos, the dream dlc and so on? Are they allowed to keep the info about it on their facebook/blog/this forum or do they need to delete everything?

serious question even if it seems a bit stupid.

They aren't advertising the DLC on steam, and that's where it counts. But the dlc will be on steam as pre-order, and I guess it releases after 1.0 final. On steam they talk about constant updates and then about extended features:

    Extended features
During the whole process, new game modes and damage model features will be progressively added in the scheduled time, in order to close in short time the final release, that will include the career mode and other exclusive contents.

That's there since the game was released in early access one year ago, and that was already delivered and implemented in the current version.

It doesnt say anything specific about steam in that article but yeah, i guess youre right on that one. It would suck if Kunos had to take the time to delete every update that includes a promise.

Talking about early access.. Kunos should sell lessons about how a early access game should progress to the guys behind DayZ standalone :D:D:D

They should just add maybe in front of every update. Problem solved :D

There are early access games that are promising far more than they can deliver, either just to make sales, or because they honestly don't realize how much work they are taking on, or that it might not be possible at all, let alone within their optimistic timelines.

I don't think Kunos is really doing anything along those lines. They have very clear goals, as well as a proven roadmap on accomplishing those goals. AC's big selling points are laser scanned tracks, an advanced tire and suspension model, and meticulously modeled cars. Cars and tracks that are promised, are actually being worked on. I think thats a hugely important. I think Valve wants to cut down on studios that just respond "Sure! It will have that feature!" to every single person that says they will buy the game if it has X feature.

"Sure! It will have night and rain!" :)

    Not Kunos's approach, I think.

Kunos have put their deeds where their mouth was. And that is what counts. What they advertised in features and details, got delivered. Unfounded expectations and beliefs by some people can and must not be their responsibility.

I would even say they have already gone beyond their initial promises, considering how they care for their product and polish it up. They must not feel aimed at or concerned by the intentions that may be behind Valve'S policy change.
