1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic T500 centring problem

I'm hoping someone here can help me out as I can't seem to fix this myself.

I didn't like the static paddles when I bought this wheel so I bought a used Ferrari TX rim from Ebay and nailed it on.

It works just fine, but last night I decided to give the old GT rim another go to see the difference between the two. The trouble is, with the original rim back on, it sits about 120 degrees off centre and no amount of techniques I found online would cure it.

In the end I bravely decided to give up and reverted back to the TX rim but it's annoying the hell out of me!

I tried manual calibration as recommended by TM, I also tried to re-centre the wheel using the three button code but I've heard this can only be done so many times due to lack of memory. Is this true?

Any help or tips much appreciated.
    Thank you.

You put the rim on wrong.
The hub goes off centre not wheel, so if other wheel(fx) is fine, then.....think about it.
Or...Are you saying it's still off centre with fx attached?

If the connector is like my TX connector I don't think it's possible to attach it incorrectly without breaking all the pins.

Weirdly both my Fanatec CSR and Thrustmaster TX (with 3 different rims) have always sat about 10 degrees left centred and I've never found out why, but it must be a software problem on my computer? Maybe try reinstalling the drivers or firmware.

I'm willing to bet the 3 big pins the wheel attaches to are spaced 120 degrees?
Yeah you read a few degrees off granted which I had myself although easily fixed by lining wheel up and pressing the magic buttons.
But...120 degrees out sounds like the triangle three pins spacing?
But I hear what you're saying as regards to not possible to fit the rim otherwise, but you never know.:)

The plastic thing stops it from connecting if you have it at an angle.

    @esox71
It can only go on one way though, like the pic above.
The TX rim is perfectly centred, the GT wheel is off.

    I'm perplexed by it too.

Doh! I'm thinking of unscrewing the six bolts on the front(which three are kinda fake hence the three pins) not unscrewing the large collar oops.

Only other thing I can think of is two occasions where my wheel brain has fried and it was centred so to speak at a silly angle.
couple of pc starts never fixed it, it wasn't until I unplugged wheel from pc/ mains, left it for a couple o minutes plugged back in then it calibrated properly.

In a roundabout way you just fixed this for me!
I originally tried to change the rim months ago by taking off the six bolts at the front, I must've put it back on arseways in the first place. I just readjusted there and it's now fixed.
I owe you a beer. Thank you.

Awesome, glad you got it fixed, I don't use the GT badge anymore because when I screwed the badge back one day I over tightened
and cracked/split the ring that holds the badge on, to be truthful it looks way better without the badge, just be careful as only three of the plastic pegs that the bolts go into have metal thread inside, the other three are just plastic, just crank up the metal threaded ones not so much the plastic ones.
I was correct then, was the 120 degrees or so that pointed towards just the rim without collar had been put back on wrong.:)
