1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory.
  2. FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE: If you report issues with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder!
  3. If your game executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, then run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether.

    Frames: 3487 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 58.117 - Min: 45 - Max: 76

I tried to duplicate settings as close as possible, with below results tonight on 0.6.1
    2019-03-06 21:36:14 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 4055 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 67.583 - Min: 58 - Max: 79

Sorry, but seems any time I try to attach images, I get 'file size too large' for screencaps from fraps (10MB)

That would be a 17 % AVG FPS increase and also a significant decrease in FPS variance. Good stuff.

But for the table I'll need your exact settings. Please write them down if screenies don't work.

I have to make a correction.

The Advanced Sharpness Filter is a post-process filter that sharpens the image. It is heavier than the Sharpen slider and it shouldn't be used in parallel, it's more like an either/or setting.

This is not fully correct, you can use both in parallel because one helps the overall image, while the other helps with larger distances (read the ingame blurb). However it it is not advised to use the Advanced Sharpness Filter with higher-than-default Sharpen values.

Remind me, what was the default Sharpen value again? 100?

@pankykapus, I turned foliage to low which gave a nice FPS boost (13 % coming from high). I can't seem to make out the visual difference. Here's 2 pics, first with foliage = low, 2nd with epic:

Can you elaborate what this seting even does?

    Thanks

So I did some benchmarking at Laguna Seca, Bathurst and Kyalami today in an effort to get the game decenly looking and also have it stay at 62.

I used AI as a stress test and came to a conclusion that with my old i7 2700k at 4.5Ghz, 16GB of 1600Mhz ram and a Gtx 970 I can't run more than 8 AI cars otherwise I get microstutters every 5 seconds or so (frame time jumps from like 30ms average to 100ms). But here are my results.

    My methodology was the following.

    Pick a track
    12:00

9 cars (so I can sit idle and spectate 8 cars).

10 minutes so I can switch between different settings and also reset the FPS stats each time.

I used default Lo, Med, Hi with 100 resolution scale. I did test Epic but that's too much for my PC.

    Kyalami
    Min/Avg/Max
    Low
    58/77/100
    Medium
    63/74/86
    High
    58/77/100

    Bathurst
    Min/Avg/Max
    Low
    58/77/100
    Med
    61/76/92
    High
    47/62/76

    Laguna Seca
    Min/Avg/Max
    51/72/93
    Med
    60/73/80
    High
    54/66/73

I did then make a custom settings config but I'm yet to test in MP. But as long as I set max visible cars to 8, I should likely be fine.
