1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    I seem to recall someone in the CPU benchmark thread saying that the GPU does significant extra work displaying the AI cars. Based on that, and the fact that AI CPU calculations are taken out of the equation when running replays: Would it perhaps be better to run this benchmark as a replay with say...30 or so AI cars on the grid?

    difference between is because some reason when i hit the benchmark button the screen is in window mode = than my benchmark are higher

    did again a third run seems when you hit again the benchmark button, back to full screen and lower results
    Frames 6358, Time 60000,(ms), Min 80, Max 148, Avg 105.967

    in doubt when i read others configs and results now??? with same hardware

    So 1070 and 5700XT have something like a 20-25% increase from optimizations alone in a year? Or has something changed with settings? I ran the test too and got similar average but results were much higher so assumed i must have messed up.

    @Fractured Life did you compare only the GPU or the CPU+GPU combination?

    My fps did rise quite some bit from around 50 to stable 90+ with the same GPU with the same video settings.
    I upgraded from an AMD FX6300 to an AMD 3600(non x), that's it.

    First build for me. For GPU test I was expecting to average around 80ish so the numbers seemed off I guess.

    A new feature has been added as of last wednesday (1.6), that scales down the FPS of the mirror to increase performance in ACC. That might be a cause for the difference Fracture Life? I think that is actually a good thing. Not fully sure yet how it works but it seems like in Auto in adapts itself to stabalise FPS and you can also set it to fixed fractions of your fps or fixed numbers. Kinda nice and has at least some effect since mirrors are heavy. So is the new track Imola tho, crazy FPS drops there haha.

    Really curious when we will see the first posts here of the new gen GPUs! Especially AMD, as the 5700xt so clearly underperformed compared to its rivals. If you own one, please benchmark it! :)

    Definitely seems higher now, i have a few all epic gpu test runs that were way above 100fps (i had overclocked the card pretty heavily too so more an observation than proof of anything). Also noticed different 1 minute sections of the track give massively different scores as it looked so good i kept lapping for a half hour and trying to start the fps counter at specific places.

    Looks like 6800xt is another AMD card that ACC doesn't like :(A replay was used but that shouldn't change the GPU result .

    At first i was thinking like you but than i read the VR results and there the difference its just 10%. this is big improvement for AMD.

    The RX 6800 XT delivered 126.49 unconstrained FPS with no dropped frames or Warp misses but it needed 125 synthetic frames.

    The RTX 3080 delivered 138.97 unconstrained FPS together with 2 dropped and 181 synthetic frames along with 2 Warp misses.

    Still Nvidia its the better choice for ACC and simracing in general but at least the difference its not that big
