The big 1.5 speculation and dream thread

Hey guys,

With 1.5 due to land anytime soon us forumites are getting restless. We need screenshots, we need videos, we need patch notes, we need rumours!

So let's go mental. Thought I'd create a thread about 1.5 where we can keep the rest of the threads tidy from the hype train.

For me I'm looking forward to :

• The new look Mugello
• Single player pit stops
• The extra polish prior to console release
• The new cars (seems to be road cars so far)

I'm also hoping we get some surprises

 

I read some things about it, it seems that all tracks will be updated, pit stop strategy, etc. Would be a dream to have AI more intelligent in terms and the Ferrari F138, and sure, waiting for surprises.

 

here is what we know

• all tracks are getting redone, maybe apart from the drift track and drag string i dont know
• Mazda MX-5 is coming
• likely a new tyre model
• Luca said something about redoing the sounds for the cars so maybe new car sounds
• 1.5 brings the C7 and mustang
• 10K monza is likely coming as marco hyped it late 2015
• SP pits
• likely some new apps
• maybe a S1 KTM X-Bow to mirror the one Aris drove a short while ago
• 488 or FXX K or F138 in 1.5 maybe 1.6 but they will 100% come out before or on the same day as the console launch
• ****ing flamethrower exhausts
• Dream pack 5, so good that it skips 4.

 

Yeah, Mugello will be very nice, I guess, it´s pretty good allready in my opinion.

Nürburgring update will pretty much be the main highlight for me, with an updated GP track attracting more people to the endurance layout in MP. That would be bad-***!
Actually, the track upgrades will really bring me back to driving other tracks again, too, I hope!

Looking forward to what changes in physics, too, with tyres and stuff.

And of course the new road cars will be amazing, too, if they are in 1.5. Like the new Mustang and Corvette quite well. After a lot of models these two are the first since the 70ies that really convince me.

@Brownninja97 I don´t know how much of this will be 1.5. I don´t know if they had the time to finish a new track (Monza historic), and I guess the MX-5 will most likely come later in DLC?

 

I think the Mazda will hit after 1.5 but I dream of us getting more than just two cars with 1.5

 

I'm sure it will get pushed back to the second of April! I leave for a week with the family and every update comes out when I'm out of town .

Really looking forward to everything! Maybe the C7 and single player pit stops got me the most excited.

 

I hope that the mugello's curb will be restored at higher height as it was prior the kerb of death episode !

 

Last exam for this semester tomorrow, so from tomorrow afternoon on it would be fine for me. Looking at the usual workings of software development, I kinda expect this to come maybe a week into April and that´d be okay for me. It´ll be worth it!

 

Be it for 1.5 or later, I hope there will be the VLN layout since they're bringing audi cup tt, and we also have other vehicles in the game suited for it.

 

What parts of the VLN layout is different to the Endurance layout we currently have?
We are now a day closer to the Corvette and Mustang. Woot!

 

VLN Layout uses the full Mercedes Arena (The longer turn combination after Turn 1), and excludes the Müllenbachschleife, so it actually is the Sprint layout of the GP track combined with the Nordschleife, although using the faster NGK chicane (The one before heading out onto the 'ring).

I´d love that layout, too. Would be nice to do it VLN style, after having been to quite a couple of their events (And hopefully adding some this year).

Hoping Miata is the "small surprise" with 1.5 . Either that, or some epic road like that pictured in the background of 'stang/'vette announcement pic.

The "small surprise" wasn't supposed to be the Abarth 595 SS (with some luck)? Wishing for the MX-5 so soon in v1.5 might be stretching it, as it wasn't even on the console screens as the pocket Abarth.

 

Pretty please the F12 Berlinetta and F12 TDF ; maybe not now, but someday.

-complete animated pitcrews, so they don't appear out of nowhere
-crews of other cars being visible
-short intro and outro, like just a view on the startinggrid or pits with some of thecool music from the consoleversion (offline)

-competitors for the McL F1, Alfa GTA and Ford Escort

 

Audi tt cup, anything new?

 

Option to turn that annoying and immersion killer the 'BLACK BAR OF DOOM' off. Please let us have the option to remove that annoyance, or turn down what it informs us. Do we really want to hear about johnny leaving and joining and being kicked and rejoining over a ten minute period whilst trying to race. Ability to jump start, use the start lights in game, animated stewards with flags, lights on the side of track not in the top left corner. Lap position updated in realtime not only over start/finish.

I'm sure there will be some fun and games to be had when it is released, good luck Kunos.

 

The trouble is that there is potentially about 5 or maybe more layouts for the Nurburgring + Nordschliefe.

With Arena, without, with the sprint cut through, without, with the NGK chicane, with the faster chicane etc. I doubt we will get them all. My hope is that we are allowed to simply do a lap of the GP track and have a coned off section around Coca-Cola Kurve so that we don't have to do a 14km warm up lap.
