1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

damn..that trailer looks good and i've spotted lots of nice cars, like the 288 or the xj220s. but i felt terribly disappointed by the first title. fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice . . . i'll probably still keep an eye on it and see if its a huge improvemnt over pCARS 1.

Its obviously not an easy task to get tarmac physics right and they going gravel and snow/ice too + rain. I hope they succeed.

Maybe so but at least this will be a fully featured title at release , if Kunos with the help of 505 could create something that looks like this with all the features but add in their physics model it would be a world changer

It's PCars, they will release and run. Not a big fan. But each to their own.

edit: If they really do support their creation for longer than 12 months this time and get it right, I'm up for another racing title. I have my reservations though, I hope they prove me wrong. :)

I agree. I fear that they may spread themselves too thin and it will lack focus. Hopefully they will prove me wrong though, and competition is generally a good thing.

It is going to be another exciting year for racing games, DiRT 4 looks fun, then hopefully Project CARS 2 & Forza 7 will have been built to take good advantage of the Scorpio. Lots of positive talk about Forza 7 having much better wheel feedback too.

pCARS2 and Forza both know the benchmark AC has set in handling and it'll be interesting to see how they've responded to that. Capitalism and growth require that constant innovation. We've never had such a range of choice.

I don't know dirt rally seem to do a fairly good job . I just picked it up in anticipation of the psvr upgrade and it handles nice on gravel, tarmac , rain and ice

DiRT rally handles superbly and you are going to love it even more in VR, took me a while to build up VR sickness resistance though!

I dont think Forza need or will change what they do and how they do it just because there is more racing sims on console now. They have their following, its a bit like cod and bf, both do their own kind of fps on the same but yet different market. :) They are probably more scared of Gran Turismo.

Yeah, I just added that in my post. I think turn10 will feel that they need to improve more if the new GT becomes good.

Fully agree :), Forza will be a racing game with car modification not a sim (though I do like the way it does the tuning options) but it will be great if the wheel works well this time too 5 & 6 really dropped the ball on that. The Fanatec guy let the cat out of the bag about the desire to much improve the game in that regard.

pCars 2? Pffff. Looks visually good (again) but I'm not convinced at all. pCars 1 physics and FFB are trash. Now even dirt and snow physics added, when they already failed with just tarmac. DiRT Rally tried to do multiple surfaces and also didn't go too well, the tarmac stages are horrible and handling is not convincing at all, compared to dirt stages. I could be wrong about pCars 2 but won't believe until I see it. But sure it will have nice graphics (again) if that's your thing

    - Best regards, very disappointed pCars 1 senior backer

While all you say is completely true, PCars has a lot of good features. The graphics are superb, the transition between day and night is very good, the sound while being very similar between cars is very good, the number of tracks is overwhelming...

Of course at the end I enjoy much more Assetto because of the physics that are light years ahead, laser scaned tracks, ffb, more clarity in the image... But cant compite with some things PCars offer. I mean, PCars isn's just graphics.
