No license rating max users is 10... IMHO still too high

 

It does not mater. With password protected server I get the same result. Max clients are 30.
maxClientsOverride: 3 does nothing.

It worked well last night (version 1.0.4)
- overrideDriverInfo => OK

I created an empty settings.json with "configVersion:0".
In the generated file, there is no "maxClientsOverride" option. It does not change anything. So probably it is an invalid property.

I want to reserve slots for entry list drivers, and offer the free slots for anyone who know the password. But it is seems to be impossible.

 

I've been making some software, and discovered that when accServer is run, it autogenerates a new event.json, with it's encoding set to UCS-2 Little Endian, instead of a more typical encoding like UTF-8.

I've been messing with the cfg .jsons now, so I've probably overwritten the default encoding, but if anyone still has defaults, could they check what the encoding is for the .jsons in ACC/server/cfg please

 

they documented the encoding in the admin handbook (3.2) and it is UTF-16LE

Ahh okay, didn't read that bit. Considering I had to study that document to make sure everything was within limits, descriptions etc. Also nice to know that I can delete all the jsons and have them re-generate. This was fine, while programming, only to find out that there was an additional two properties (postQualySeconds and postRaceSeconds) that appeared out of nowhere

 

Also, my apologies if it's been asked already, but why does the entry have the names and category on the entry, and not per driver? Does this mean, that with multiple drivers, the car registers as a single firstname, lastname, shortname?

 

I don't use "maxClientsOverride" for allowing my league drivers onto my high SA non-passworded servers...
Check the syntax on the entrylist file as the first time I had it wrong and a fellow admin fixed it.

entry list u can have it for individual driver or as a team, just the exampled in the doco you can populate it for the individual driver if you wish.
We have added first name in with the individual driver so we know who's SteamID belongs to who

But take an example.:
I create a race event or championship.
Hi every one, come and join. This will be the greatest. And they join. 20 people says, I want race in your championship. Everything is fine. I create the entry list with the 20 people for the race. Setting up a high SA. The sun is shining, birds are chirping.
I am starting the server, with 30 slots. And puff.
In the first 30 secound 29 people join, from UK, US, Egypt, etc... So one of my drivers can join the race.
But what can I say to the other 19? Boys, today you don't race, maybe next time. But don't be sorrow, this is a high quality race with highly trained drivers.
I know, it is sounds funny. But it is not, if you are one from the 19.

 

haha... that is an issue, highly unlikely, but yes still a potential issue...

1 - you could ban the pub users (stop them trying to rejoin) harsh yes
2 - set a password
