1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Why not give just those running their servers full control of how they are set up?

    Assists arent the biggest issue either but any settings open for private servers should be available for a public one. Even private server sare fairly limited in what can be done, then by design public is limiting these few options that can make racing a bit more interesting.

    The UI simply needs to display relevent info to everyone and people should have working filters in the lobby that can filter servers they do or dont want to use.

    If we could run public servers as we want we could have good standard scheduled races every night of the week in this region open to all within our accepted ping limits and server entry.

    There would be active admins and racing would be with more variety. Kind of like CP servers but with actual people to monitor and statistics/leaderboards available through our site. ;)

    Due to the massove ping issues hostong pub servers from Aistralia, we even host servers in Singapore that have reasonable pings to nearly all of the world under 200ms except south America. Ideal location for global racing which were even offered to Kunos to use for CP servers but they werent interested.

    Funny how these servers get less Europeans join then when we host from Australia, their pings instead of 170 are 320. Thats how bad the lobby and quick join is by not favouring regional servers to everyone and sticking them anywhere even if its 400+ ping and them joining degrades everyone elses end experiance.

    An example of the mp setup in Australia, this was an earlier build but its still exactly the same. Mostly ruined by ping as quick join doesnt care about latency, lobby is flooded with high pings no matter how filters are set. CP servers dont exist in this region so that entire front page of the mp interface is mostly useless here. :oops:

    Now I understand where you're coming from with all of that. I was a little confused about some of it. I agree with having more information and more abilities to change stuff for servers so that if I want something specific I can find it but I can totally understand why they don't at this time, perhaps in the future if the game gets more mainstream.

    The ping thing sucks for sure. I live in North America, the game just isn't that popular here so we get stuck in high ping servers quite often if we're not playing at "prime" time. There's a mild suspicion in the NA player base for most racing games that none of the devs care because it's not the EU market, which I think has some truth to it overall. The support for the EU market always seems better and other markets are sorta left alone in the simracing world.

    Current MP implementation of ACC would indicate that the EU market is the main focus,the end user experience is considerably worse for anyone outside the EU.

    1.4 is supposed to focus in these areas for improvement so we can only hope this update finally makes a significant change to MP experience in ACC outside Europe. Even for the EU base there are things that could greatly be improved but outside it would be hard to be much worse then it is atm IMHO.

    you can't. If you want free formation lap you must set that value to 1 (only for private server)

    Is there an opportunity to override driver info partially?
    For example, if i want to override driver name, surname, but want to use actual class by ACC rating. Is it possible?

    Hi,

    I am trying to setup a server for myself and a few friends, I have got the config files working eventually after the ones that come with ACC are for an old version.

    However I am getting the following error due to my servers filewall.

    I am unsure what ports it is trying to communicate to in order to open them up in csf, can anyone confirm?

    TCP connect returns: -1
    ==ERR: RegisterToLobby TCP connection failed, couldn't connect to the lobby server
    Trying to connect to lobby (1 times, interval 13000 s)​

    I want to start discussion about server results jsons
    Its really really weird and first of all its not ever JSONs
    " s e s s i o n T y p e " : " Q " replays there two times so unique keys rule is forgotten there

    I start my server over wine in Linux and results JSONs are there with unnecessary spaces after any symbols, also there's many issues with symbols like \D etc

    Is it possible to fix that bug so server can produce valid JSONs like AC server? Because now I need to do preparse many times to properly eaten by python json_load this files

    Hi having a problem with driver swap on server.
    Have read all manuals and followed all instructions and suggestions we can find on the forum but nothing helps an we don't know what we are doing wrong.
    basically what happens is first driver joins no problem but when second driver joins he's put into his own car instead of the special spectator mode the manual talks about. We really need some help with this as me and my friend have been trying to set this up for 7 days now and are starting to lose the will to live. We have validated all json files with the online json formatter and validator tool and apparently there are no errors.
    are we missing something or does driver swap just not work in the current build.
    Any help with this would be greatly greatly appreciated as my hair is disappearing fast enough on its own without me pulling it out as well.
    Have pasted entrylist.json details below.

    It's been working for a while now.

    The SteamID needs a capital S, for one thing. Also try it without custom cars to see if it works at all.

    Another thing is that the drivers need to be inside the same "drivers" node, within the same entry node, wit the entry node only having 1 entry.

    If you look at the entrylist section in the handbook, you'll find it very obvious as to where you went wrong.

    Hi ok that's the first way we tried it but it didn't work it still puts second driver into another car instead of the spectator mode and 2nd drivers name doesn't appear on the hud.
    Could I ask you to post a copy of all your server files (with steam id's blanked obviously) so I can compare them with ours to see exactly where all the errors are that would be a massive help if you could.
