1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Tire pressures.. Tips wanted :)

Tire pressures in race weekend SP Monza 30min.

I drive in the 488 with safe setup, the only thing i changed is the PSi in the tires.

In my stint up to the mandatory pit stop the PSi do what I expect, you because of testing ;)

But after my pit stop the tires are 3PSi higher. I changed it in the MFD menu and there the base PSI is 27. something and when you use that the PSI on track after 1 lap will rise to 32. something.

For me i start off with 25.** and 26.** so during the race its around 28.
When i lower the psi in the MFD before i make my pit stop to the values i have in my setup, the same thing happens. After one lap the pressure rises to 30.* and "over-pressure"in the middle of the tire.

Is this a simple case of miscalculation on my part or did I forget to take something else in to account?

I haven't tested this out to know what's happening, but from what I understand, let's say you set your pressures to 25 before the race, then during the race they're at 28. But if you set them to the same pressure during the race on your MFD they rise to 30?

Basically the pressure you set is the pressure the tyres will be at the pitbox, which is usally at a lower temperature than on track, so perhaps the temperature they're at at the start of the race is higher than the one they're at when you make your stop, so the difference between the pressure you set and the pressure on track is bigger when you make a pitstop.

BTW the General Discussions forum is not for this kind of support.

That is exactly what i mend. I start the race with 25 during the race they become 28. then i go in for a pit stop to change the tires (mandatory). In the mfd menu for pit stop i make sure the psi is the same as in my setup the 25. But then after a lap or 2 they are not on the 28 i expect but around 30 with over pressure in the middle of the tire.

BTW where must i post this then? As i thought this is for a general discussion not a bug or some other kind of report.

    Kind regards.

Pit stops are a bit clunky and awkward atm so I haven't bothered with them yet, hopefully in v1 we will have a pit strategy menu in setup where we can set multiple pre-sets for our pit stops. Set pressures fuel amount etc then in car be able to easily select any pre-set and make adjustments to it as needed, now in car I have no idea what the pressures were a the start. If the track has changed and I want to go up or down not knowing what the actual figure should be. Also adjusting this mid race is far from easy so I just avoid it, stopping in your pit box itself is awkward enough so lets hope this is greatly improved in the next build.

Me and a mate of mine do the sprint races mostly and endurance. So we meet up in my house and swap seats during the pit stops. even with this EA build we have a good time driving. Can't wait for 1.0 so we can do the strategy's in the setup. On monza its doable because of the long straights.

theres a bug. If you switch your tires from dry to wet and back again the pressures will end up ok. even though it will say they are like 20-21 now they end up where they should be after the tire change
