1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I've never tried TrackIr so far. Does it really make sense with a 24" monitor? E.g. when I look to the side I still need to have my eyes looking on the monitor.

When you calibrate the software properly for your own rate of movement, it’s really quite natural. Yes, obviously your eyes need to still look at the screen. But with non-linear adjustments in your TrackIR Setup, you should only need to move your head marginally in order to achieve a larger virtual movement in the game.

Someone in this thread suggested looking at track hat instead of TrackIR, so I did. It does indeed look significantly cheaper plus the clip thingy is both wireless and can be mounted in either side of your headset, unlike TrackIR.

So I’m interested in getting one, but not sure if ACC will support it? I saw the details about needing to use the specific profile in TrackIR, so I’m a little wary of using any other technology than TrackIR itself.

    Anyone know please?

Same here, I've always had motion blur off. I tried taking a video of the issue, but weirdly once I hit my video capture button, the double image problem goes away...until I stop recording. Ha.

    solution found!
resolution scaling to 200% and the flickering is gone.
had 150% before and set it to test on 100% = worse flickering than before. then 200% = gone

Still something odd about that though. I have 100% scale and no flickering, so seems there is a bug of sorts.

it is even weird when 81sc want to capture it on video and its gone ;)

Yep, that is a strange one! Just tried taking another video and a screenshot, but neither one will pick up the issue. I can confirm, though, that my situation is the same. 200 = no issue. Anything lower than that and I get the "straight ahead view superimposed as a second flickering image" if I look around the car.

It’s quite strange because TrackIR support is “activated” by default, either TrackIR is used or not. Is TrackIR software that is connected once ACC is lunched and than usable.

You guys with issues can try to pause TrackIR (set a button/hotkey if needed) and see if it makes any difference.

I don’t have any issues therefore I’m inclined to consider that can be some setting or setting combination you guys have in view options of ACC, in graphic card drivers or using an edited engine.ini file, which is causing the symptoms once TrackIR is running.

Yeah, I'm not sure what would cause it. I'm on the latest driver and not on a edited engine.ini file. In any event, it's sorted for now.

I have vsync and advanced sharpen filter off.
Sharpen filter, in particular, caused me some strange blurring when on, not TrackIR related,

vsync is off on my side, sharpen i need to see if its on or off.

Just gave the head tracking implementation a try in the beta branch. Works perfectly with opentrack and my custom tracker. Thanks Kunos!

I have both the Trackclip (the hat based one) and the Trackclip pro (clips to side of headphones), both have their pros and cons, but generally speaking the Trackclip and hat combo is the simplest to set up and works very well with most race sims, when properly calibrated. The Trackclip pro is more popular with flight simmers where the extra accuracy of the LEDs is essential for zooming in to see cockpit dials and other such details, but it’s a lot more fiddly to set up and requires a separate USB connection to power the LEDs; overkill for driving games IMO.

In terms of USB, the data capacity of USB2 is more than enough for the data that TIR requires, I’ve used mine for years connected to a USB3 hub with up to four other devices and had no major problems.

Yes, that works. But my frame rate goes from 110+ to 40+. So unfortunately not a solution for me.

I did a little more testing. Between 120 and 130 is where the flickering finally goes away for me. At 100 it was really bad, like a constant second flickering image. The flickering would die down the more I increased the resolution.
