1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Traction Control Setting

I like I can set traction control levels on the fly in cars that allow it but would it be possible to add the option to preset the start level on the general tab in the car setup screen?

I think Stefano once said, that he was against the idea of having preloaded setups of any kind. TC and ABS included. We have the factory setting, which would be realistic anyway to change while you check out the track conditions.
If you race a car in a series over and over and prefer the same TC value, chances are you'd probably have the value stuck in your mind anyway.

Then why can we save any setup parameters ;)

    Clarification.

I am talking about cars that have multiple settings for traction control already take the 599xx for example...

I know at Monza I like to set it at 7 for a little bit of slip coming out of the slow corners, but not too much if I get my throttle application wrong. I get in the car click the button till it says 7 and go. It seems to stay set between multiple restarts in hotlap mode so the game remembers what I have done.

It seems logical to me to be able to set the start point I want before I hit the track, but hey that's just me...

So they're against simulating what every race team in the world does in real life? Or any savvy privateer / track day junkie? I've never met anyone who was truly fast in any motorsport, without at bare minimum a notebook (these days likely done on a PC or tablet) with what the weather conditions were, tire pressures, suspension settings, and any other relevant settings (abs, tcs, stm, etc) for that particular track. This is no different, it's just having a base tune to work off of, no different than real life. When a company touts a title of "The Racing Simulator" this seems like a huge omission to me.

If it´s a sim, you should have a notepad on your desk also ;) Might be quite fun, logging your achieved times with the boundary conditions and settings used.

Not trying to be smart here, just a bit of fun.

I have no doubt that there are people that take this, and other sims very seriously on PC that likely do that very thing. I have a friend who does track days, and uses PC sims to turn laps on tracks he has never been to learn the layout. I myself have a log of my setup on my motorcycle, and mountain bike.

My PC is getting delivered today, so I'll be running AC over there until the console issues are resolved. I do want to state though, I really do like the game, and have tried to keep all my posts in a positive light, as at the end of the day, when AC works properly it's damn good fun.
