1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

TV 4k 60Hz, 1080p 120Hz

I just bought a new TV. It's a 4K TV 60Hz but the panel is also capable for 1080p 120Hz.
I don't have enough GPU to run 4K Ultra so I decided to run the game 1080p Ultra and leverage the 120Hz.

I noticed that when Windows desktop is configured to 1080p@120 the ingame tearing almost disappear.
Opposite if use 4k@60 or 1080p@60 on Windows desktop, tearing is much more visible.

Is there any workaround to force ACC to switch 1080p@120 when the game start? anything in the file settings I can tweek?

It would be annoying to swich destop resolution from 4k@60 to 1080p@120 all the time.

    Thank you in advance

    I too have a 4K tv that does 1440p@120hz. Samsung NU8500 55".

ACC behavior changed a few times during the development. First it did work well with 1440p@120hz. After some later patch it would select and force the lowest refresh rate my TV could handle. It would automatically force 25hz instead of 120hz. I couldn't change it so I quit the game for a few months.

Now, it does work with 1440p@120hz again, but it requires me to change my desktop resolution@hz before entering the game. So I can confirm this problem.

I use the same resolution in different games, but with a different refresh rate between AC and ACC.
I have to change this setting before starting game (I’m on nvidia surround).
If there’s a way to add something choose resolution AND refresh rate ingame, would be great.

From memory I think you can set the refresh rate within nVidia Inspector globally or per game. That said this option should be in the UI or video settings file..

  6. I miss this setting as well.
I am running Windows on a 4k 60 Hz display. ACC starts up at 1080 60 Hz even though the dsiplay is capable of 120 Hz.

For other games, the nVidia Control Panel worked by choosing "highest available" for the refresh rate. For ACC, this does not work. I am stuck at 60 Hz unless I switch my desktop resolution to 1080 120 Hz before starting the game, which I don't want to do. It would be greatly appreciated if there was a way to select the refresh rate manually, either in the menu or by editing a config file, just anything.

Not to be a party pooper, but you guys do know that most TV's really are still "only" 60Hz dispite having a higher refresh rate on the panel right? If this is the case for you, ACC or Windows won't recognize your TV as being anything other than 60Hz.

Just to let you guys know this problem is not fixed.

No solution, no workarounds. The behavior changes in some of the games patches.

  9. I do not have the tv you have and this might not be applicable for you. I had to hook up my 2k tv to my old computer for a while. The pc was not able run games smoothly at 2k. Instead of lowering the resolution in windows (the window screen was not fiiting in TVscreen), I was forcing tv to run at 1080p 100Hz. Windows was thinking that i plugged a new device and change the display properties automatically. Windows screen was fitting in the TV screen as it has to be. Maybe this may work for you too.

Thanks, but it only happens with ACC. In windows and every other game, if I select 2560x1440p 120hz they will run at 2560x1440p 120hz
