1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  3. I don't like the fact that pitstops in F1 can be completed in less than three seconds. Maybe it's just me, but I preferred the days when drivers came into the pits when they needed to, instead of being forced to because of what other drivers are doing. Mind you, there are a billion things that I don't like about modern racing, so I guess it's pointless to whinge about it :(

NASCAR wheel change was astounding, the best part of the racing I expect. :p

As for F1, I love flag to flag racing. So any type of interference from team or pits is something I think should be removed, MotoGP works perfectly well with no ship to shore communication and the same would be true in F1. The idea of interference (team/rules) making for close racing means nothing, as it will be artificial and as we all know cars fail, so why stop someone from having a 20 second lead when all it takes is a tyre/engine/gearbox/electronics failure for that lead to be removed. Then again I think the money teams get in F1 is slightly screwy, the smaller teams should get a much larger portion of the funding as larger teams get the majority of the high paying sponsors.

Still five wheel nuts in a fraction of a second is stunning work by those guys. Thank you for sharing Chazz.

Agreed, the NASCAR wheel team is insane fast! Not a NASCAR fan at all, but props to the pit crews!

I can't tell how the nuts on the NASCAR wheels work, are they all glued to the front of the wheel ready to be tightened onto the studs or something?

    Quick Change

How do they get the tires on and off so fast?

You may have seen a NASCAR pit stop before. In 12 to 14 seconds, seven people manage to completely refuel the car and change all four tires. This requires incredible hand-eye coordination, but there are a couple of tricks the teams use to make things a little easier. When the new tire is placed onto the car, the five lug nuts are already attached to the wheel by an adhesive. The studs are long and have no threads for the first three-quarters of an inch. This ensures that the lug nuts do not get cross-threaded, making it easier for the tire to be positioned.
