1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Thanks, Andy. I'll try taller gears. I tend to trailbrake into corners, or at least my attempt to trailbrake!

Thanks, Andy. The advice helped. I managed a 2:34.47 almost immediately. I'm also more consistent, so hopefully I can find more time.

This is an interesting read - https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/...3-porsche-917-30-spyder-can-am-feature-review
    Here's an excerpt:
"Because of its immense power, the car runs very hard compound tyres and Donohue used to complain that his racer did not have enough power unless he could spin the 917/30's rear wheels all the way down the straight in top gear!"

I highly recommend this book. The chapter on the development of the 917/30 is compelling.[IMG]

Could do better on this stock setup, but my patience (for the night) has worn thin. So close to a 2.39!

Looks like I will be joining the PC gaming community sooner rather than later. My laptop has died. The hard drive has gone by the looks of it. The perfect excuse to upgrade. I'll probably go with a laptop rather than a tower. Any reason why I shouldn't? The specs look ok - i7 processor, nvidia 1060 (6gb), 16gb RAM. Is that sufficient for AC?

I don't think you will regret it! I dunno if a laptop i7 and 1060 are much different to the desktop versions but if they are similar it will be fine. Best to check with people that know I guess.

A bit tough for me this one. My first try I kept hitting the barrier. Left it alone for a while then went back for another go. I cut the fuel load down and decided that once the tank ran dry I would do no more. As it was I got three laps. A 2m40, a 39 and a 38. It was bit dubious at the top of the hill but the game allowed it.

The sound doesn't work properly in this video. I remember it was the same when we had this car at Spa. No matter. It sounds fine when I'm playing it.

Sorry guys, I'm back. Thanks Total Wrytoff for helping out, I just missed it by 20 minutes, and collected the data as well :)

  13. Is the video posted showing the fastest lap here? Great fun to watch. Much mirth (completely empathetic) at the antics and shape of the ghost car into the first uphill hairpin!

However, the race stewards have reviewed the footage and decided that the conscientious effort displayed most certainly merits inclusion of the time.:)

Not too happy with this lap. The split was showing me in the 33s but I made a few errors and I had to settle for this.

Anyone else using the hood or cockpit view notice how the engine sounds dead silent until the boost hits?

  15. Tasty lap! A "few errors" is remarkable, I feel lucky to have survived a lap!

Regarding the sound, whatever the view it is very LOUD all round (PS4 pro, LG HD TV.) For this car, I have to turn my TV volume down from 12 to 8 , there are most definitely no silent bits, it is very noisy indeed! Must be an Xbox thing, Gijon (XB1X) would be the man to advise...
