1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #105 – Andy's Challenge

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by Totall Wrytoff, Nov 26, 2018.

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #105 – Andy’s Challenge

    The Challenge:

    Car: Ferrari F40 S3
    Track: Monza 66 Junior
    upload_2018-11-26_19-54-59.png

    upload_2018-11-26_19-54-16.png

    A first outing for both car and track. Watch out for the shocking bumps on the way into the first corner. I’ve only had time for a very quick go and immediately learnt that trail braking is very tricky here, although I haven’t tried with ABS On. I think a number of ways into this corner will be explored this week!

    I suppose we should be driving a Mercedes rather than a Ferrari this week, but we’ll start with the Runner Up!

    Recommended tyre pressures are:
    semislicks (sm).
    fronts = 30
    rears = 32
    minTF = 65 maxTR = 85

    medium slicks 90s (m)
    30 all round
    minTR = 70 maxTR = 90

    hard slicks 90s (h) !
    30 all round
    minTR = 75 maxTR = 95

    How to take part:
    To enter, select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Ferrari F40 S3 and head to the Monza 66 Junior Course. Please setup the session using the settings below:

    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    To qualify you must be in Hotlap mode and have the ambient temp set to 26 DegC.

    Deadline: Sunday 9th December 2018 - 21:00 GMT.

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple. All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

    Please post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    Please use the following format to post your time:
    Your time, to be shown as x.xx.xxx.
    Your platform (PC Xb1 PS4)
    The image or screen shot showing your time.
    Your thoughts and comment

    Please mark updated times with Improvement.

    A leader board is collated regularly. Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post cannot be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leaderboard but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

  3. Apologies for the late post everyone, I'm on a 9 to 5 at the moment which is a real drag.
    Looking ahead to WHC106, I would like to hear your suggestion for a tribute challenge to recognise the achievement of AMG Mercedes Petronas in 2018.
    As Toto Wolf points out with his usual understatement;
    "We have had an exceptional year overall at Mercedes...winning DTM on one weekend and then the Drivers' title in F1 and then the Constructors'. We have (also) managed to clinch the title with Mick in F3, with George in F2, and both Esports titles"

    Nice, I've never tried this car here, it should gobble up the back straight pretty quickly with all those horses. It's like an F40 LM Lite this thing, will be fun to give it a go! Thanks for going with my suggestion :) BTW it is the 2nd usage of this track, we raced the GTA here waaay back in the early days.

  9. I'm referring to your pic, although I'm sure that was obvious. Good to see you on WHC, sub 50 laptime, high 49s?
    Fernando, up there with LH and SV, (&MV!) should have achieved sooo much more in F1, I'm sure everyone here would like to see him in the Merc and Liberty should have insisted! Let's wait until he has bagged the triple crown...

    I hope I'll have time to try the combo and post a time after work today. It's been ages since I drove the F40 S3 so a good excuse to do so!

    Tricky combo this.

    Is there a way to make the image bigger? It was difficult to see my console screenshot, but this is almost impossible.

    Just Managed to sneak in a quick 15 mins ( pointless getting the wheel out really ) but hopefully get another go at it tomorrow or later in the week.
    Feels great on my wheel this combo tho, well impressed. Great combo !!!
    Never drove the car or track and found it very tricky with oversteering out of the corners if I put the power down to soon but that’s probably me being crap n rusty.

    If you try and turn while doing anything other than breathing on the brake pedal into turn 1 you die :D The tower is a handy guide to know roughly where to start braking as by the time you see the markers (in VR at least) it is too late. I'm starting to brake for T1 pretty much on the S/F line.

    @the3ws when I was on single screen I used Photoshop to cut out the relevant bit and enlarge it back to 1920x1080-ish
    BTW you should try using the 90's slicks rather than semislicks ;)

    I'm braking about the same place. Thought it was just me.

    As for tyres, oops, I thought I was on slicks!

    Nice livery. I went with the Thompson.

    Thanks! There are a few versions of it available I think. Annoyingly mine has an issue that is bugging me but I lost all data from my HDD a while back and with it all of my skin saves for 80% of the liveries I've done :( Still it is rewarding to drive with your own skin :)

    Holy s%$t, the 90's tyres are much quicker.

    I resized the image by 50% in paint, but still something only slightly larger than a thumbnail

    If you crop the important part of that image and then enlarge it back to the size of the original image it will work. All uploaded images seem to be at that same size so by doing as I described you have same size image again but basically zoomed in on the important bit. The other thing you can do instead is upload to Imgur or somewhere and then post a URL, you get larger images that way than by uploading them to this forum.
