1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for the weekly hotlap #6 - Art and Science

    The Challenge.

    Car: Pagani Huayra
    Track: Zandvoort

    "Why-ra" that's how you say it apparently, but what to say about the car, it is fast very fast :) It is also a fantastic drive especially around Zandvoort! Very limited tuning options, multi level traction control (use it) and a sticky gearbox (downshift protection is harsh), it isn't as scary as I remember particularly on the Top Gear record boots!

    Zandvoort, seriously twisty, this place and super cars just seem to work, it reminds me more of a fast road than a race track at times :)

    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory

    The Deadline.
    Sunday November 13th :eek: - 22:00 GMT

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap choose the Pagani Huayra and head to Zandvoort. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :)

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.

    All Platforms are welcome, please let us know what you are using when submitting a time.

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (including the session screen in the clip is acceptable).

    A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone upto date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    can't wait to learn this one... its gonna feel amazing when up to speed!

    I expect to find many dummies and plenty of toys in this thread ;) :)

    Seriously though, use the traction control, it has a range of settings, there should be one that fits everybody! I'd start at level 1 and work through them each, if you feel comfortable go to 2...

    I did test drive, the car and track, it was one I could just switch the hud off and do lap after lap not really caring about how fast I was going. :)

    Something was also done to this type of car in the last patch (console) they now have much better lateral grip which makes them all a whole lot more enjoyable to drive! :)

    Yes, factory assists, this basically means if the car is equipped with it from the factory then it will have it in game.

    This car has ABS and a TCS system, available, TCS is adjustable for slip levels 1-4 and off if memory serves. No point switching this stuff off if it puts you in the wall backwards IMO!

    A big part of cars with limited tuning is figuring out the tyre pressures that offer the most grip, this is a new style of tyre to the weekly so some learning to go on here as well...
