1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    If you (like me) feel that ABS keeps messing with your braking points, try to turn it off. This one is exception when it's about ABS for me, I never turn it on when a car has it. But it was so frustrating in the M3.

    Glad to see people saying they won't leave WHL, like we say here in Portugal, "we are few but we are good!" :p :D :)

    @moodyryder i agree, "the devil wears praga" was the best WHL title ever.i think i came close with "no combo for old man", but still,that one was pure genious :D

    welcome back. had a long time-out here at whl too. but its too much fun. ;)

    maybe the aliens have better tips but until then here is my setup

    less fuel
    shortened the gears
    rear wing maxxed
    front camber maxxed

    feels much better for me, but must not be the best choice :oops:

    @Hugo Catarino,many thanks for keeping all this going and thanks to the previous guys too.I can't always participate due to health issues but i'll try to enter at least once a week even if i'm not happy with my time just to make up the numbers.
    Even when not participating i've always kept an eye on you lot thinking damn another great combo i'm missing out on.
    If you all look at my uploaded time quickly you'll see that i've managed a 1.40,lol:D

    After *ages* stuck on a low 44, I finally managed to nail most of the corners and squeezed in a 43... yay!
    Quite a fun car to drive, but I'm really fumbling in the dark with the setup. What did you do with it @V8_KB?
    Right now I'm only using 1st-5th (slightly longer than default), and I've played about a bit with the suspension and aero: lower front arb, higher rear arb, softer front springs, dropped rear wing to 1, if I remember correctly. Oh and I raised the diff locking on coast a notch. Some of these changes are quite likely a bad idea :D

    I'll upload the setup later tonight. Beware tho, I'm not really good at it, I just click stuff and test. :D

    I don't think there's a lot to gain with the setup. Lowered vs default height with default camber and the difference was just over a tenth, so more like better lap than setup. I was doing low 43s without touching the suspension, aero, bump rebound thingy or camber. The biggest and best change for me was ABS off. With 67 or 66 the rears are locking first, which helps with rotating the car around tight hairpins. Of course you can't just smash the pedal, but it's not that hard to get used to it.

    A glorious, whole tenth of a sec, to sneak above Murfo!
    I find it tricky to be consistent in this bouncy car, not getting a good feel at the turning in point and often having to take several goes at getting into the corner. I can't imagine finding whole seconds of improvement, amazing lap V8_KB, looking forward to seeing your set-up later.
    Keep going Kamran, hopefully our Challenge leader will post a lap vid and we will all improve...:rolleyes::D

    Finally. Been at this all afternoon (NB; Hugo:D), broke through the "46" barrier with a 1.45.788, then following lap got this. After ages, for this set of laps, I reverted to near stock set up, lowered and stiffened slightly, gears shorter, which showed how my earlier tuning had made the car slower and more difficult to drive!
