1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Great to see a WHC maestro at the top of the RSR leaderboard!

    The "side by side"vid is just fantastic, what a great post. Fascinating to see the give and take... and you both could improve by several tenths!!
    I'm not sure if I'm right but the longer gearing looks faster.
    Brilliant to see, thanks @Pretend racer and well done!

    I haven't been as dedicated as usual but will be back. The midlife crisis is back. Simracing is the symptom of what's going on with me lately. I want to do what I wanted to do for the last twenty years. And the next thing was to recreate Provence in my back garden.. I did it. It took me 2 weeks and a good bit of money to recreate the dream but I did it. Very specific plants and trees that I had to import. I just received yesterday special garden lights to make the trees shine from the bottom.. I know.. I went far. Just finished to set them up today and it's just amazing. The whole thing is amazing. Day, night. I am so proud of myself. Just had a few drinks there and except from the damp and cold it was like behind back in Provence.. I know I am completely off topic but wanted to share that. I've attached a few pics for whoever interested. What you have to know before you smile at it is that it wasn't much of a garden a while ago. Stuff were growing alright but couldn't say what species.. it will be really good next spring.

    Gutted...I had a 2:12.077 done. I pressed Reset instead of Back to Pits....lost it! It was one of those laps...hard for a hack like me to repeat! But I did improve a bit as I tried to repeat that lap...which I will do....an 11!!

    ET - nice! Do what makes you happy man :) Enjoy the Provencial garden.

    Was really looking forward to today since last week due to a non simracing related thing which I came to the realisation I had been waiting for, so had been building up my Qi (/chi) like never before, literally been buzzing my tits off since last Friday (no class A was involved so don’t worry guys). The first stage wasn’t a failure which is more than I could have hoped for, even whilst the chance of ultimate success is still low and very distant, I am optimistic; so bring on this Friday! Wish me luck guys :)

    So all that considered I am ready to harness the concentrated energy and transmit it to the tarmac through the medium of burning rubber. Hopefully I can actually improve lol!
    Tighten the belts, no, tighter than that, and close the windows please... oh and hold on to your .....

    When I jumped in today the gear ratio felt way too long so tried shortening it a bit, but I don't think it really made much difference

    Now to some random clicking in the setup!

    Ok, this sounds exciting!! Don't be coy @LeiF, we want to know more! Sounds like a martial arts grading, match or tournament? Also sounds of Chinese origin, with your focus on chi...what discipline or style?

    Lots of messing around with setups, no matter what I did just kept lapping around 11.9-12.3 and was never really pushing the delta anywhere.
    Decided the diff power was too low, so whacked it up to 90 and one final little go before some food, was already about 3 tenths up after the first sector but then binned it, so that gives plenty of hope for next time I have a go :)

    Hmmm, the post is open for suggestion and metaphor - was I being too literal?

    We don't care about set-ups anymore @LeiF !:) There's something far more exciting.
    Recently we've heard about motor racing improving fidelity and gardening diverting money and time from AC....
    It would be completely inappropriate to be nosy and we all respect one's privacy, so no pressure and if @Neilski 's call is correct.... we hope you pull.:cool:

    Joking aside, whatever it is, be assured @LeiF, we are all very keen to hear and very keen to support!

    little off topic - after some months with reduced sim racing activities i checked racedepartment yesterday and what should i say? assetto corsa is still alive. and how alive. new sound mods, new tracks, wonderful cars (for example bugatti tank and ligier) - thats really crazy. :eek::)
