1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I'm all in favour of getting people to post in a way that minimises the pain for the person compiling the figures (and indeed the probability of mistakes).
When it comes to improvements however, my assumption has always been that the username and platform are kinda redundant since I assumed that the only thing the admin needs to do is change the time entry for that user (leaving the name and platform alone). Is that not how it's done?
Edit: on second thoughts, maybe the username isn't redundant since some people have an AC username that doesn't match their forum username... :-S

If there are 50 competitors every week and hundreds of times i can understand it. But since i participate here there was never such a harsh atmosphere. :(

One of the things about getting older. Less weddings and more funerals.

I went to another this week.

Mally lived a rollercoaster life but I think he'd made his peace with the world by the end.

He’d asked for Thin Lizzy's “Dedication" to be played as his send off.

Unfortunately his Ma got a bit confused and ended up picking Roy Castle's Dedication instead.

Any British child of the ‘70s will remember the BBC show “Record Breakers” and that particular piece of music.

So the wee man went backwards through the curtain accompanied by Roy trumpeting away.

    It was hilarious.

Life's too short to be bitter folks. There’s already enough bull**** on this Earth.

Here's a little video with the tune he really wanted.

    Rest in peace fella.

    I will see you again.

    But not yet.

  4. I'm sorry you feel that way @sissydriver.
There is no one that works harder at trying to make the WHC better, than me. The last thing I want is a "harsh atmosphere." I very much hope that is just your perception.
I would also like to make clear that this is not @Lewisxbone 's call, it was mine.
I'm extremely grateful for his help, if there's even the slightest thing I can do to make his job easier I will.
Surely you think the same too?

Let's draw a line, please can everyone use the format for us and let's get back to shaving tenths, enjoyable banter and simple things like life outside AC!
    Have great weekends everyone, cheers!:D

  5. Lovely post, @moodyryder It put things into perspective.
Our condolences to you. I hope you are bearing up
Respect for your strength to find levity, your video had me grinning and then laugh out loud at your HUGE moment starting the lap. That inside kerb is evil.:D

Engine limiter! o_O I thought the damn thing maxed out at 100 but turns out I should have tried moving it to the right... :-O

Well, I seriously hope you're joking dude. If so, good joke! :D
    Otherwise.... OMFG :eek::confused:

@Lewisxbone if you don't mind I'll share my Google docs file with you in PM and tell you how I did the timing. For me this method was easier then copy/paste every data every time.

Oh boy. So inconsistent and probably not a single lap without at least three tenths given away to silly mistakes.
I've been trying a bunch of things, and playing about with the brake torque and balance. (For some reason though I didn't do the sensible thing and just try @Pretend racer's setup, duh.)
I was getting more and more tired and having to reduce the brake torque and push the balance forward to avoid losing the rear end under braking. Didn't seem to have the control tonight that I had on the first evening, but the extra power balanced that out a bit.
I managed to squeak into the 11s a couple of times, which would feel pretty fast if I wasn't basically still an entire second behind P1, lol!

    No, thanks, not now.
So many things in life, so little time to drive, only few hours a week, I'd like to try some other things, other sims, rally, etc.
    I don't say I wont participate occasionally :D
    Nice combo though ;)

You don't forget us that easy. I am sure sometimes he has a little go. 3 laps, break the world record and go to change a nappy... he doesn't need to post it. He knows..

That’s it from me this week.
It’s took me about 3 hours with a few coffee breaks to finally improve and my backs knackered now. Feet up time now.
Not that I’d be able to do any better now.
    Well done everyone!!
