1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Ah, this car is rather a lot of fun to drive. Outrageously well-behaved for an F1 car. Without TC it would be a lot less fun for mortals of course.
There were still 3 or 4 tenths rattling around to be grabbed, but it would have taken a seriously lucky lap to get me into the 17s, and I'm out of time so I'll make do with this :D
    Great time @Lewisxbone!

    Session Report

    First Place
@Lewisxbone . First place, the only man in the 1:17s and this week’s winner!
Congratulations to WHC’s very own Schumi.
No sign of rustiness, just the top spot!
Proudly tell the family this evening for a polite smile, apathy and bemusement. Here, however, the noise is unbearable, crowds are surging around the podium chanting your name and the champagne pouring off you, stings your eyes and feels cold, as it runs down your back! This is how it feels to be a champ!

    Second Place
    Hats off @DriverModFTW ! A 1:18.1
    Impressive.
    Cool.
    Focused.
Very focused indeed! That is so close. Lewis posted an invincible monster and you very nearly vanquished it! The strategy for this week unfolded like a meisterplan. First, a stealthy 1:19.5. That lulled @Pretend racer and @LeiF into a false sense of security. Then a cool pause, before unleashing the ninja (superstealth) / terminator (will not stop…) blitz laps to claim second place! And regular podium man status. Congratulations, I enjoyed that.

    Third Place
@Pretend racer is blindingly fast anytime, anywhere. He has permanent podium man status! Like me (lols) he is slower at Imola, but that’s not really showing on the time. We know his huge talent, we can be sure he tried and his 1:18.2 is an eye blink off pole. The fight for podium places this week was viciously competitive, so in not-your-favourite car around not-your-favourite track, it’s a brilliant podium. Congrats!

We got off to a rocky start this week, who believed it could get worse? Luckily, in the WHC at least, things did improve. @mike reynolds made a welcome return and posted a tasty 1:19.4, setting the pace. But not for long. Very shortly after, two of our fast men, Leif and Lewis had crossed the line. Lewis posted his first time, a 1:18.5, immediately pipped by @LeiF with an excellent 1:18.4, which ends up as only 5th place. Testament to toughness at the top!
@Laughing Gravy warmed up with track grip down at 97% and Imola specialist @Chaos_Chris saw the gap! He dived past with his 1:22 and like the rest of us, wondered where Lewis was finding four seconds!
He enjoyed 24hrs ahead, before his rival, slowly upping his track grip, swept back past. (Imola was your special request… only one go, no fightback?)
Thursday was like 3 mins from the end of an F1 Q3 session, with cars streaming out of the garages into the pit lane. @StyleF1re was first over the line, nailing his time with a stock set-up. In my experience the tune here counted for about 2.5-3 secs…, or 3rd place.
Next was the bodacious form of @moodyryder and he was rocking it! A 1:18.7 is fabulous. Speed is his thing. Having checked his eye-popping Isle of Man TT course vid (esp, around the 4 min mark!) the F2004 seems very pedestrian.
Gravy, now with grip, went a second quicker and very-long-time-no-see @Alexis_RS_MKII returned, with an excellent 1:20.6, bumping me down yet another place, but with a cheery smile!
Sunday night special @Neilski, did a Sunday night special. “It’s good, but it’s not right!” (Roy Walker, Catchphrase). Usually a Neilski is a good time posted at the beginning of the week. I think “seriously lucky” for a 1:17 is modest swagger though. With serious luck, I’ve got a 1:14 in me!:D
@Stan Getz now claims the Sunday night late edit slot! 21 laps is a solid session. Good to see you and yes, only very just in time! Literally, seconds off the flag!:)

Shared honours this week, firstly to @Lewis who stamped his champ stamp all over WHC170. You just knew his 1:17, even with serious luck, had frightened off GoodGame and was not going to be beaten. And secondly to @DriverModFTW, part ninja, part Stephen Hawkins, part terminator, part Phil Hill. You just knew he was going to mount a challenge and it came. Peaking perfectly, he climbed from 6th to 3rd, to 2nd. Great to watch

Speaking of which, I hope everybody has watched or will watch the Fangio story on Netflix.
There’s a scientific boffin type who has spent his career developing a formula to work out the age old question of who the fastest/ best ever F1 driver is. Hats off to him and his family!
One anecdote in particular got me. Mechanical sympathy was key to reliability in those days. Fangio had a skill where we now need telemetry and a room full of computers - mechanical intuition, and his was on a different level. After one successful race, they examined an engine and found he had needed to nurse it from start to finish. It had just 3-4 laps left in it. He had been able to feel that and judge it perfectly. He comes across as a very tough cookie. He talks about the death of his friends without emotion and what they went through physically racing those cars…. We cannot imagine.

However…. I feel a Maserati 250 challenge is coming very soon! Advanced practice notice: Roll it out, fire it up and prepare for rampant axle tramp and wheelspin in fourth.
    ----------------------

    Quick Survey::)

Which tracks do you think best suit the Maserati 250F and which model (six or twelve)?
    ----------------------------
Thanks for playing everybody and remember, be safe - stay in and drive Assetto Corsa!
