Sorry officer! I did put 6 laps on my first go; didn’t think it would be needed for the improvement time
Already done more practice in the Ferrari than the length of tonight’s race, so maybe I’ll try this again!

@sissydriver I didn’t tell him, he would probably tell me go buy one of his setups and try it again

I'm actually pretty pleased with that, all laps within under 0.3 seconds range, and four 55.7 in a row

Can we consolers get a screen with the lap times?

 

on the PC you click on the lap time on the results screen and it goes to the individual laps, try pressing X or whatever is the normal "enter" button when you are on that screen maybe?


...but we also have the advantage of third party apps

 

I want a results companion!

I tried @Pretend racer 's set-up but the shortest gear ratio and tighter diff didn't suit my lack of style.
Back to mine but with Pr's camber and a gain of a tenth. Felt like a second!

@Totall Wrytoff and @Jo0 [SkAnkin] I take surtees and stirling in 3rd gear. It allows you to get on the gas earlier without spinning. I found 2nd gear would get the rears spinning and because those corners are already at the top of 2nd gear even without spinning, you have to shift right at the corner exit which kills your top speed at the end of the straight. If you take it in 3rd and get on the gas early enough you'll end up with a higher top speed at the end of the straights.

Otherwise, just change the gearsets to whatever suits you best!

Unfortunately I’m not sure what my password is for the forum so I’m constantly signed in on my phone where the password is saved so I have to take a photo with my phone & this week it’s not too clear. If I knew my password I would sign in on my PC & take a screen shot which would be much clearer. Maybe I will have to try & guess my password for the forum & try signing in on my PC.

A bit frustrating as very inconsistent across this stint, over a seconds between the fastest and slowest laps with a couple of mid 55s and a couple of mid 66's....nothing like the laser consistency of Leif! (on the positive side though I now have ACC Race Companion!).

 

Following my Sunday's ghost this evening, Surtees is a corner that I got almost spot on.
For me, the slightly longer gearset allows an easy fourth to third on the way in, clipping the entry apex tightly, then, using the slope to bleed speed as you turn in, tight to the kerb, snick 2nd at juicy revs, feed the power to check for grip, and then nail it, taking 3rd just before the dark asphalt.

I found, due to lack of finesse, that I was bogging down in 3rd, even on the shortest ratio.

But horses for courses, sometimes some set-ups are beyond the ability of normals!
