1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

While posting my first effort I saw Moodyryders post about turning stability control. Mine was set at 50% so I turned it off and made a big leap forward in my time so I'm hoping that is the reason for the big improvement.

That was at the inside of druids...and that merc was really noisy...you could actually feels the sound of that makes sense....the Aston’s are similar sounding but not quite as deep.

Cracking value day out as well... My boy gets in free and £29 for a weekend tickets for me...beats paying £00s for a f1 ticket any day

I had to work at this. Using the standard aggressive set up I generally ended up crashing on lift off overseer.

Whilst I realised this was my issue and not the car's, I just couldn't drive around it.

I don't normally touch set up but I decided to try. With a bit of an internet guide and one thing at a time methodology I gradually got the times to come down.

When I started I was at 1m53s and doing the 6 laps in around 11m20.

This last run was high 1.47s low 48s. Still well away from the sharp end but acceptable for me.

I enjoyed chipping away at it, finding out what worked and what didn't.

    The essence of the WHL.

I hope a few more players can get a time in before the deadline. Numbers a bit low right now.

Support your Weekly! You'll miss it if it's not here.

    Congrats on the sub 1.50 @Alexis_RS_MKII !
I spent a good hour this morning, gained a tenth, so I don't think I'm going to make it.

@GoodGame.eXistenZ is WHC’s version of Lewis Hamilton!
Dominant and in a class of his own.
Over one second ahead of the very excellent @Pretend racer , himself world number two, is mighty. Congrats!
Pretend racer takes P2 in WHC and on RSR, even though he’s at 26Deg. Great work Pr!
Third placed @Alexis_RS_MKII improves by nearly a second to dip below the magic 150. On the podium! Congrats!

    Third time lucky!
After two second places in a row, @jo_siffert wins! Congratulations on a great hotstint, over three seconds up and comfortable, take the top step!
Second placed @mike reynolds is at the real thing this weekend and we’re all rather jealous. Bet he’s going to be inspired next week!
Thanks very much to @sissydriver for the challenge, he finishes third, time poor in real life, but time rich in ACC!
Elsewhere, @moodyryder puts in an enormous effort to grow the perception that he is faster than me, which made me smile.:D;)

Thanks very much to everyone for playing this week and why not invite a friend for next week?

    Very perceptive of you. :)

Didn't you hear Rob Smedley on the radio?

    "Moody..

    is faster..

    than you."

He didn't sound too convinced about it.

    :)

Certainly will be! It was an awesome weekend. "Worlds Fastest Gamer" James Baldwin pulled out a 25 seconds lead in his Mclaren in the 1st half of the race...only to have it wiped out by a safety car right on the pitstop window, and they ended up 2nd...gutted for him really as he was in a class of his own...so there's hope for all us sim racers (or at least @GoodGame.eXistenZ !)

Had a go on one of the motion rigs in the Brands Hatch "Raceroom". Never tried motion before, it was really good....especially the feeling under braking and accelerating....time to start saving up!

The story of that "kid" is amazing. And I am certain we will see more sim racers enter the real deal in the future. It is a huge talent market after all, unlike the real deal that can be hardly afforded by anyone...
