I struggled a lot on this car. I felt it would understeer, then I would try some trail braking, but then the car quickly overteers too much. I increased negative camber to -2.2 on the rear wheels (if I remember correctly, 2 clicks more negative) and felt some improvement. My feeling is that there's a lot to work on setup, but that's still beyond my capabilities.

It’s been a while since my last entry on the hot lap, but fancied trying the McLaren to see how it felt versus the ACC 650 - and it’s quite nice in stock setup.

This is much easier to drive than the BMW in ACC (I’ve given up trying) although my lap times are currently slower. Need to play around with tyres & gears to try & catch up with the rest of you. For some reason I get an error every time I try to upload a screenshot so I’ve had to go back to taking photos.

Starting to get to grips a little more with this combo now. According to the theoretical best lap time at the end of the session there's another 4/10ths I can find if I string all the sectors together. If I can get under 1:52 I'll be happy

Tried today standard aero 1/5. I believe improvement was more due to driving technique than aero though.

I'm still way behind on the street version car.

Someone mentioned having the ghost always on on the consoles. However for me it's always off. I wonder if there's setting for it.

I think you may be in (English) practice mode.

Treino / training.

There is no ghost in this mode.

When you start your session, is the car in the pits?

In Hotlap mode the car will spawn just before the last corner rather than in the pits.

This time on the right game mode, hotlap. Since my 1st day in whc I have been racing in the wrong game mode. I believe someone made a mistake when translating into Portuguese or copied/pasted into the wrong fields. "Tomada de tempo" (hot lap) is an arcade type of game for me, where I make points and have to drive through checkpoints in order to gain more time to drive. That's why I was racing in practice mode. The real hot lap mode is "corrida livre", which translates into "free race" (?) and I had never tried before. I hope you understand I was not trying to cheat in any way.
