Had a quick go before the F1 and managed a very tiny improvement

Eked out another 2/10ths, with @F1415182235 's set up, less the drinks.
Had another go at ACC, but I'm stuck in the low 1.53s.
I'm with @Pretend racer on Monza, but this week has been more fun than usual.
Time to head down the road to Mugello!

 

My initital impressions are as follows. For the DD: What people say about catching slides is 100% true. I can catch slides earlier before they occur and it of course the inputs feel a lot more direct in comparison to the belt driven CSWB 2.5. I was able to driver more stable from the beginning in terms of input.Great investment.
For the pedasl: Different sotry, I knew it would be a lot more difficult to adjust to new pedals, especially trail braking. And so it was and still is.In comparison to some older laptimes I am currently missing out on 0.5-1 seconds due to braking (depending on the car). The Sprint are the better quality equipment - no questions asked. But they barely work out of the box for anyone. The stock rubbers are a lot more stiff to anything the V3 has to offer and the travel is shorter at the same time. So it means short hard braking which fits more to GT3 or single seater cars. So for street cars you need to fit softer rubbers and even for GT3 cars I already have turned down the bottom dead zone and decreased required force, so hopefully it makes trail braking easier. Also I am thinking about going for softer rubbers, as I like to play with the brakes while driving, something that is more difficult with a short travel and stiff pedal. So in summary, they are an upgrade over the V3 in terms of adjustments and quality, but they need to be managed - they need to be adjusted in order to work. Luckily, the software allows you to adjust lots of inputs by software rather than doing everything mechanically.

Great week on AC! Times are very, very close across all leader boards, great competition!

Later than usual this week, with mitigating circumstances, @GoodGame.eXistenZ wins convincingly! Most weeks we see a great drive, but this week we’ve also seen the result of some extended, F1 mechanic level spanner work! Congratulations, happy dialling in!

With a great P2, @F1415182235 has had a stella week by the sounds of it. And it hasn’t, or perhaps has, affected his performance. A set of very fast laps and a couple of tenths improvement in the GT3 car too. I’m fairly sure he’ll be back for next week's challenge!
@Pretend racer , likes loose rear ends, dislikes tight chicanes, takes third place, despite two tight chicanes. He is consistently good!

Honourable mention to @Alexis_RS_MKII , a very good lap in the road car, even better in the race car and only 800ths of a sec off third place in the combined. Well done!
Honourable mention to @Peggy11 , who started fast, then put the time in taking chunks of time off. Also, see below!
And, back in AC, in the GT3 event, with a late entry...., on form and on fire @LeiF . Hot! Lap! Pinching 2nd place off the toes of @F1415182235 . Ouch!
And honourable mention to @lemans86400 , the fastest man with a controller! Impressive. NB: to your fellow countryman - no rig required!!

It was a fairly quiet week for the excellent challenge from @LeiF , but an exciting duel between him and @mike reynolds for the honours.
In the end LeiF romped away with an impressively metrononic set of low 1.49s, highlighted with a pair of 1.48s. Without doubt, the result of hours and hours and hours and hours of endurance racing experience! TPC SimRacing is lucky to have him.
For the second week in a row, @mike reynolds takes second place. He was game and put in a great show. There was a suggestion of a response, but it’s a big-ish gap. A tidy lap in the MP4 GT3 shows he’s not lost his touch in AC either.
@Peggy11 takes third place off @sissydriver in the last few minutes of the challenge! Absolute burglary! Wow! Although, looking at the enjoyment put in over the week, it should be no surprise. It was coming! Congratulations, spray the Champagne!!

Honourable mention goes to @moodyryder . What a great drive in the BMW, the only consoler to get to nine laps. Shame the formatting of his post went completely to pot, but fully understandable. Having driven three different cars in a day, everyone would be the same. Surely?

Best blag this week goes to @Neilski , who actually hasn’t driven a Silver Spirit but “has had a ride in the back….” Quality! If that doesn’t promote mass sniggering, I’m made of stone.
