1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I find it pretty interesting to see other people's rigs as it gives you a bit of insight into how a person approaches sim racing. Always helpful to know a bit about a person when you race side by side regularly. I joined the just4fun championship which is a team championship that uses Sim Racing System. I posted my setup and it was used in the article feel free to check it out.

Don't take this the wrong way @GoodGame.eXistenZ but as sexy as those monitors are, VR is better and cheaper!

Very nice! That'll be a good upgrade!

The chair is anchored to the rig with metal latches. The chair doesnt move at all. Ill build a full on rig at some point with a fixed car seat. I just couldn't have something that large in the old apartment.

Final setup looks like this until i upgrade.

I believe you. Thing is, I don't like wearing that thing for hours - that is all. I am sweating enough already when driving :D

@SlowGrayAudi Much better - I always hated it when my old rig moved. Going to a real sturdy design is just so much more enjoyable! Keep it up :)

A very fun car and easy to drive on a short circuit. It was a really nice experience. Very good combination

A very high 1:29 was possible if I'd managed to string all 3 sectors together, but I didn't :(. A spin on lap 4 overheated the rears and the car was a handful from there on in. Just coasted the last lap as I'd had enough by then :p

Achieved my goal of a low 1:30 so that's me done and dusted for this week.

    Still practising.... :D

What an AMAZING set up @Pretend racer!!! Blade Runner meets Marathon Man. "Is it safe....?"
Great seat too, which manufacturer? It has a touch of Lexus (Nexus 6) about it.:)

I've played more AC this week than I have for a long time. I had lost the feel and got very rusty, very quickly.
I'm going to roll the sleeves up and get that time down, now that I'm getting dialled in. I hope.

Fair enough! There's always pro's and con's to everything, and what works for one person usually doesn't work perfectly for another person. Although, I'm a little scared that when you get all that equipment set up you'll be even faster lol, you're already too damn fast :D

You give me too much credit :p That beauty of a seat has two armrests! How many rigs can say that? I found that seat at a 'pick a part' junkyard. It was a middle row, middle seat from an old dodge minivan. $20  Mounted to my kids old 'loft' bed that I repurposed into a rig. Along with some other assorted recycled kids furniture hahahah.

VR just would not work for me for longer races. You cannot take a drink etc as you cannot see what you are doing. I always felt that VR is something that I would buy for immersion and fun, not for competing.
But I do not think triple screens makes you faster. I upgraded as I wanted to have the extra vision especially to focus on corner entry points. With my 32:9 and close FOV I felt that lacking for a long time now. However, the upgrade from 120hz to 165hz is surely noticeable :)

I need a monitor that can do at least 144hz. My tv is 60hz native so im capped at 60fps. Im sure it would be much more enjoyable if i could get my true fps in game.

At 4k i average 83-110 fps solo or online depending on the track.

But id easily drop it to 1440p with a monitor and enjoy 130+ fps all day.

My apologies for putting out the Final Standings so late; I fell asleep on the couch last night - oops!

Congrats to @GoodGame.eXistenZ and @local_man1234 for claiming the podium spots in the AC WHC this week. @Totall Wrytoff earns the Most Improved Driver award this week for his multiple improvements. I'd also like to welcome @elmiau! Thanks for posting a time this week, I don't recognize your name so I'm assuming this might be your first WHC. @Peggy11 had time to enter both the AC and the ACC challenge, thanks for your contributions this week.

Congrats to @SlowGrayAudi who was able to overcome a lot of stress this week to nail the top time in this weeks challenge. @local_man1234 is the fastest man between both sims with a silver in ACC, and a bronze in AC. @Peggy11 grabs the final podium spot this week in ACC.

Thanks for participating guys and we'll see you over in WHC 229!
