1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    If the track alows for it you can set it up for as many as you like, how well the server and all other clients will handle it is another issue you would need to test. The more clients the more data being sent to all and received by all, also the more cars need to be rendered so the game performance will be lowered and once people run out of system ram or vram things will likley come to a crawl. Server data wise its quite easy to calculate what the traffic useage is with say 20 clients then just x2 of that for 40 clients. If you have issues you could always drop the hz rate of the server and this if halved should have the same data use-age in and out to all with half as many clients. In terms of official content Nords tourist layout has I think 35 garage spots so it can have the most clients and Ive been on servers with 35 users without issues.

    There's no official limit as far as I know. As long as the track chosen has more than 32 pit-boxes you can have more than 32 players on it.

    How do you mean? AFAIK the official tracks at the moment only have 24 and 32 slots. The 48 Slots servers would be only usefull if you plan to run modded tracks with more than +32 pit boxes.

    I thought perhaps official tracks might be changing in future updates to allow us to host more grid slots, and that you knew something we didn't.

    A bit of wishful thinking from me more than anything else ;)

    My math was just a basic assumption, im confused why would upstream be 4x the data for 2x the clients?

    It has to send 2x as much data (position of every other driver w/ 2x the drivers) to 2x as many clients - 4x overall.
