    hello guys
I want to start recording some online racing but i don't really know anything about it, so i came here for your help.

Now i have a triple screen setup with only a gtx770, its completely fine in online racing 20+ cars i get up to 90fps on medium low settings. If i start recording is that going to lower my fps even more? can i capture one screen and not all three? and final question is, what software to use?
i tried GameDVR, but it only works for microsoft games(forza apex, horizon etc..)

    thx for any help :]

The impact on FPS should be minor, but too be sure I always record the replay, so I'm 100% sure it won't interfere with my racing.

For software IMO o.b.s is the best, and it's 100% free! https://obsproject.com/

You should be able to record one screen, I'm not 100% sure how it will work out because it's been ages since I've been using a mutliple screen setup.

Good luck with recording, be sure to share the results!

    For example with a 5760x1080 res -
    - get OBS Studio, install, run
    - Settings > Video:
    - Base Resolution: 1920x1080
    - Output Resolution: whatever you like
    - add a scene (you can skip this, if you already have a scene)
    - add a "Game Capture" source, right click it, select "Filters"
    - add a "Crop" filter, tick "Relative" and set the left and right borders to crop:
    - Left: 1920
    - Right: 1920

But tbh when I had my triples rig, I just played the game on one monitor while recording. Much simpler, less hassle.

I use shadowplay but as others best to record if either using single screen or record a replay after the race. Trying to capture in surround is going to be an fps killer for pretty much any setup and the way most people capture triple screen gaming with no performance hit is using a gopro or another camera behind them. ;)

ROFL that's indeed not how it's supposed to look. Will check on my end and see how it ends up. Haven't used it in a while so maybe fudged up a step somewhere. xD

Can I crop after I recorded?
One more question, how do I save the replay in an online session without leaving the server?

Cropping can be easily done in any video editing software. I use adobe premiere which is very good but you may be looiing for a free alternative so others may suggest something for you.

Replays since a few builds have been saved in one continous file fo all sessions upnto the 1GB replay size limit. So you only need to save it after you leave the server if you want a long mp session saved, then make sure to set replay at max size and drop the quality down a bit.

is there any chance i can fix that video?
it can be done in vlc i just dont know what aspec ratio numbers to put in.
2.39:1 fixes it alittle but its still pretty narrow.

As for me, Joyoshare Screen Recorder is a satisfying capturing software.
It allows me to record any onscreen audios and videos in the way I like.
I can record gameplay, streaming music, class lecture, video chats, system audio, microphone sound... without problem.

I just use ReLive to record my videos, which is free (included with the AMD driver) and gets the job done with the lowest performance hit and Nvidia has their own thing called Shadowplay.

I just use the screen recording built into Windows 10 (game mode?). That does a good job.

Are you running the game in 'windowed' mode? Since it does not seems to work when running the game in full screen.

I haven't tried in ACC yet, to be honest, just AC.

Eu uso o aplicativo da minha placa de vídeo, mas antigamente eu usava o FRAPS. É muito bom, simples e barato

  18. OBS I think, I use VR and the frame rate penalty is lower

The most obvious suggestion is the various recording and capture things built into, well everything it seems.

Nvidia has one. Steam has one.

It's like every company writes some kind of game overlay that pops up with a keypress and every game overlay eventually adds the feature.
And it's mostly either configuring a key press to start / stop recordings or it records all the time (for a configurable size) and you can go in and save stuff after the fact.

The only thing I don't really know is how it deals with triples.
But, it depends who the audience is. Remember that most youtube viewers, for example, will probably watch on a single screen.
Similarly for VR no one wants to watch an hour of someone's head bobbing around.
