1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

XB1 What's your in game wheel setting for Xbox one

    hello everyone,

I've been trying to find the most realistic in game setting on Xbox. But whatever I did, I always get this weird feeling when straightening out from drifting. It's like the car would turn the to the other side. I had the same problem in forza when I used simulation steering.

The wheel is Fanatec V2 base and V3 pedal.

Please help me out with that. Thank you all!

    Jon

Quick settings for me was lowering all FFB settings to 30%. I think I have them at 28% across the board. I'm still playing with them.

I don't go for total realism in my settings
I strive to have enough feedback that I can feel the road without having to work a ton to turn the wheel. I want my wheel to last a long time so I never have it set to be super strong FFB.

On PC the Kerb/Road/Slip effects aren't necessary at all, many people have them at 0%. Because you still get those effects, but without an "artificial" multiplier.. For example the lead dev thinks those effects are rubbish.. he added them reluctantly because some users insisted and uses them at 0% himself. That way you get only the feedback you would through a car wheel, without any element amplified. These are used to amplify certain part of the "natural FFB" over others. But it's matter of taste, some of the devs use those effects. Personally I feel road texture, tyre slip and kerbs just fine with all of them at 0%.

Anyway, this is how it works on PC at least, not 100% sure if they work the same way on consoles, but they most likely do. Using them isn't "wrong" by any means, purely matter of taste. For some they are helpful, as steering wheel lacks some things that would give you information IRL because you just sit still in your chair, without feeling car movement. But 0% doesn't mean that the effect is disabled.

    Very
Very interesting info, thanks. Will give this a try.

To the OP, I have a Thrustmaster TX wheel and straight out of the box it already feels fantastic and I didn't have a need to change anything. I only lowered overall FFB from 100% to 80% since it was a bit too strong for my taste.

Yes I read the same thing and have always struggled with Fanatec with certain games and now I understand why - these effects where multiplying the FFB and once I had turned them all off and just used the master FFB setting the harshness/clanking experienced went away . A lot of TX users like these settings but at a lower level so there use depends on the wheel - presumably this is as intended

I'm not sure how this works on other games, or even console version. But that's the way they work on PC (and very likely on console since it's 1:1 port in many ways). Some have erroneously called them "canned effects" but they aren't canned, just multipliers for the actual FFB. In some other sims/games similar settings might have different meaning

Nice did not know that. I'll give it a try tonight.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely give it a try. But the biggest problem I'm encountering is on the slip FFb setting, something only appears on the Xbox version. If anyone could give me some advise on how much I should set it to that would be great!

I'm currently running around 10-15% for slip - any more than that and my wheel wants to shake my stand to bits any time I leave the track because the effect is so exaggerated.

I have the ferrari 458 wheel for xbox and i cant get full steering lock because the wheel doesn't rotate very much. Does anybody know how i can fix this?

  13. what wheel do you have is it the 458 spider or the 458 italia wheel, if its the 458 spider wheel that wheel only has 240 degrees of rotation and im not too sure if its fully supported by AC

I have always wondered if there's something strange in my v2, but truth is that I have to keep ingame ffb under 15%, otherwise wheel "locking" itself too much and it's become too difficult to steer(and it feel that I'm gonna break it when turning).
This with wheel own option at 100%, interesting is that if I do it other way, keep game at 100%, it doesn't matter how low I put wheel's own ffb, its still too stiff.

Then on other hand almost all other games in One or in pc work quite normally, only expeption is AMS on pc where I also has this "too strong ffb"-problem, odd thing. I just can't understand how some ppl can put ingame ffb so high.
