1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Wheel behavior(in oversteer)

I looked for a while on the internet and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Maybe I didn't quite use the right terms to search for it. It's more of a curiosity that I have, sorry if it's too noobish. I'm Brazilian, and here reigns the crappy 70hp front wheel drive cars. So that's mostly what I've driven in real life. The curiosity is about the wheel counter steering by itself when a RWD starts to oversteer. A real car would have a similar behavior on wheel? Thanks for any help.

    Short answer, yes it does.

Long answer, go on YouTube and watch a few videos of people oversteering cars (Chris Harris is usually a good example of that) and watch carefully at the in-car part. There is usually a quick turn in to get the back end out, then he lets go of his grip of the steering wheel and lets it slide through his hands, then grips it again when the front wheels are facing the correct direction to continue / correct the slide.

Many situations this would be correct other than when you are off throttle and not throwing the car around. AC does have an issue where it likes to keep spinning you round long after a real car of any sort would have gripped and pulled straight in the hands of just about any competent driver. If cars kept spinning as easy as AC would like us to think there'd be a ton more people claiming insurance every day in the real world. I put it down the limitations of the physics. The drift spec cars replicate oversteer much better than the normal versions which is why they're actually driftable and make me laugh at how non drift specs have such fake drift physics. Two sets of standards for two different models.

There is no such thing as "drift physics". Cars have differences and act different. For example E92 M3 has only chassis differences to the drift version. Even the tyre compounds are exactly the same. If you can't handle the "normal" cars then maybe you are not yet so called competent driver. Spreading disinformation about fake drift physics doesn't help you get there.

If it was only chassis changes I would be able to use the normal version the same. There's very obvious differences in the handling between both.

Your point is? This is open to inperpretation since it's all programming at the end of the day. Good to see they do common everyday modifications and adjustments most people make to their street cars even, much like i've done to most of my cars. What is mentioned there though is barely different to the street model and doesn't justify the difference between the street spec and drift spec in AC.
