So confused. Seemed like a good discussion. Did I miss something? Why was this thread closed?

 

Probably because it was a bit of a wish list.

 

I'm only guessing however I'd say because there are few old threads already on dirt and windshields that have been discussed and they must be happy with where it's at. It probably didn't help saying iRacing do it better can you just make it like that..

Dunno I've never played iRacing however like I said on your previous thread if you do a longer stint there is plenty of buildup which makes it very tricky at certain times of the day. After all this is an endurance simulator and it really shines on all levels when you do these longer race formats..

They do want input from the community and they do listen to the community. They have showed it many, many, many times. Don't be so negative.

There is dirt buildup on the windscreen. It gets cleaned at every pitstop.

Well...
There was a CP race yesterday at Suzuka.
1 hour race, no pitstop, around when the sun goes down.

Regarding dirt on the windscreen:
In the 2nd half of the race, in some corners, I was barely able to see the road at all!

I think they did a superb job in implementing dirt on the windscreen.

 

This is one thing I've never understood about this Forum, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Wish List in my eyes, just have a Forum dedicated to it and if Kunos want to read it they can and if they chose to ignore it that's fine.
But to outright blanket ban any form of "wishing" is IMO a bit petty, sure Kunos have their vision for their racing title and clearly are doing things their own way which is great, but every once in a while a User comes up with a brilliant idea and who knows next time Kunos may like that idea and run with it.

 

Maybe talk about it in general discussion rather than creating new threads. Otherwise without the ‘no wishlist rule’ every other thread will be about ‘that’ track!!

 

A wish list is only useful if the devs ask you for your input regarding further development. Kunos seem to have most if not all features and content planned out already, so wishlists are useless. They also tend to spiral out of control real fast and clog up the forums.

 

I wouldn't say they're useless at all, like I said any User could have a great idea and one that perhaps Kunos have not thought of then we're all thankful for that idea when it comes in Game! As for them spiraling out of control and clogging up the forums, well that's where a dedicated Wish List Forum would come in handy, again as I said the devs don't have to visit it if they don't want too, but at least it'd be there and then the General forum would'nt get clogged up would it

 

Good idea,... but I fear some will just refuse to use it, and still clog up good threads with some absolutely useless,... "you need to fix the color of the sky".

And unfortunately would not stop a certain type, who post just to complain and bad mouth the developers, with absolutely no constructive input​

I really wish there was a simple fix for those types of posters, but I'll be dammed if I can come up with one, so afraid there really isn't a simple solution.

Which is probably why Kunos resorted to closing threads.
