Wondering about about Drag mode

To put it bluntly, I fear the approach that Gran Turismo 4 took to drag racing. Your car is readily placed perfectly at the line, and you have an automatic clutch on until the race starts. 3-2-1-GO countdown, clutch lets out at the perfect time. There's little more to it than just "accelerate, lel" and it sucks.

I'm really hoping that there's a greater level of depth planned for Assetto Corsa's drag racing mode. Burnouts for optimum tire temperature, staging, reaction times, and redlighting, all with a fully working christmas tree. With AC's devotion to realism, I feel it would be a great shame to do anything less than that with it. I drag with friends in rFactor every now and then, using muscle cars from the HistorX mod, and there's nothing better than pulling massive burnouts next to each other and having an evening of great racing. Throw that into AC, with fully working christmas tree, staging, and redlighting, and it's a surefire winner.

I'm sure you have a lot more on your minds right now, but I'm just saying that with AC's astounding realism you have a great opportunity to do something really great with this.
