1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

It would be great to get people's opinion on what has worked best in terms of setting up their view. I'm at at 25 fov so know there are limitations, however couldn't believe how much pitch could change the whole feel of things.

Made tight corners and exits feel so much better but at the cost of entry points and apexes.

I'm now just more confused so would love some pointers.

    Cheers,

I understand everybody have their preferences, but 25fov is just beyond overkill regardless the size of your screen. In my humble opinion don't go down the 40 value for this game.

Just use around 45 or so and bring the camera position towards you as much as you see it fit, but don't go that narrow on fov.

I use 50 FOV, but I'm using a 65"TV. Seems to work OK for me.
I also move the camera position forward, raise it up higher (otherwise feels like I'm sitting in a bathtub), and also pitch down a bit.
I like to see the full/complete information/readout from the dash. Don't like when it get's trimmed at the bottom if I move the view too far forward.

Biggest trade-off I find is the view to the left corner of the car. I like the seat back a bit so I can just get a glimpse of the left mirror. But often this results in the seat being way too far back. Then, moving a bit forward is useless because the A-pillar (or whatever it is called) is so obstructive, you don't really see anything anyway. So I end up moving the seat more forward to get the best view I can just from the front window, and still keep the full dash display in view.

Camera little move forward, and higher.

The FOV setting depends on your screen size, ratio, and how far it is from your eyes.

with a 49 ultra wide samsung screen, at 120 cm from my eye, i have setting the FOV at 30..

With this realistic fov i don't see mirrors...

    that's why I switched to VR :D

29", dashcam 17 fov. little extreme, but since i drive ac with triple - love the immersion ;)

With triples, I use 26 fov, the mathemetically correct fov for my setup. I usually only put the height a few clicks up so I can see the road better. I don't use the pitch settings at all tbh.
