1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Mine was ok during single player practice and hotlap but when I changed to the Events hotlap session I saw the same. Have to say I am liking the Bentley after the first couple of laps - my pace seems on target in just a few.

Yes, I'm also speaking of the 1st challenge, the Hotlap session.

Ahh. The Bentley is so much fun. The ride is smooth and the car feels soft with slow weight transfer. It's a joy to drive. Just hard to get to those lap times I can do in the Huracan though I had a bit more practice with Lambo vs. Bentley

And the sound.. Damn it's good!

BTW the clutch works with Bentley. Wonder if the Lambo has some sort of auto-clutch feature. If I go 1st gear without holding clutch the Bentley shuts down but Lambo doesn't

I think physics and FFB being tamed down also helps, correct me if I am wrong about that.

Ok, this being the nth place you mention this I'll correct you. Nothing has changed. Please stop spreading nonsense.

@pankykapus Sorry for spreading things that might be nonsense, even though I try to express in a way to be understood like presenting things as my impression, and not as pure fact. But many users already are sharing their good impressions about improved FFB, so either they are experiencing placebo, or things changed. Anyway I don't want to be black sheep and try to discuss an issue which no one else has, or see.

I don't want to be negative, especially as R2 is full of positives. If anything I'll open a thread not to spoil other places.

PS I really love Bentley, more than Lambo in R2. It is somehow a bit more classic feel.

The nonsense is referring to the "dumb down" or "tamed" that you have used. There have indeed been improvements in the FFB and car setup but none in a nature or extent that you described.

Don't know if it was answered in an other thread but when I try to start manually with the Bentley (ignition, then start engine then first gear) the car doesn't move. I ear the engine reving but the car doesn't move...

i belive i read somewhere bentley needs clutch to start moving so check your clutch and settings in realism you can enable it

Another milestone achieved, good work guys! However I'm not ready to plug in my ViVE just yet and will keep playing on my 144hz monitor.

I was rather slow with Bentley, perhaps because I was driving with an attitude which I developed in characteristic R1 with Lambo. But FFB is now improved and closer to great FFB of AC with proper info, so I switched attitude to AC mode, rewritten muscle memory and with much more manly inputs I quickly built up confidence and easily shaved off almost two seconds, and now can see being under 1'35 as very realistic scenario. Too bad CC rating doesn't like it rough :D I wonder what is going to be top laptime, someone is definitely going to do it under 1'34, maybe even under 1'33 ? Considering that in R1 top laptime was almost 2s faster than pole position laptime, then I suppose some aliens will do 1'31'xxx at Misano.

This is the part that makes me think, lap times. I know I'm not an alien, but I'm further behind than I thought. Not gotten a clean lap, but currently I'm at 1:38.0 and with a clean lap should get to low 37 or high 36.

But I have barely driven/raced GT3 or other cars with significant downforce and modern slick tyres, that paired with 6+ month of sim racing hiatus means I'm slow AF.
I think in AC I was ~2.5s (or 3s?!) off the aliens at Spa, but 4+ seconds off at a sub 1:40 lap time, yiks...
Maybe I'm just too used to road car racing lines / driving style and need to adjust to GT3 cars some more.

I am curious if indeed the driver position in the Bentley is so low. I use VR and make sure that if I look left or right I can see my shoulders. And when I look ahead, it feels too low.

Unlike that, in the Lambo, you can see so much more.

Is that how it is supposed to be?

  16. Also curious about this. In the Bentley I can’t see the apex on T1/T2/T3 at Nurburgring in the default view

Some drivers... won't make names, told me "no doubt they have some kind of accident in every race"...
The issue is that there is "lots" of car around you, that you can't judge where it ends.

And you guys bring us Racecraft rating with it :D

It is really great test of racecraft this car. Especially in the special event, starting in the back of the pack, in the rain, with such tight corners of Misano, and when you don't know yet which AI driver is more gentle and trustworthy and which is more aggressive and rough. But it makes really great challenge and I like it a lot, I also think that AI is very decent.

Wouldn't drivers be faster if they would sacrifice a little bit of CG height for some more view ? :D

I have to admit I do lift my camera up a little bit, I suppose it is a little cheat :/ it is still difficult to see some apexes, as the front is long tall, and right A pillar also gets in a view as it is RHD car (and somehow most tight turns turns out to be right handers :D
