1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Can anyone suggests comfortable lightweight racing gloves that do not cost arm and a leg.
The comfort is more important than price.
I am currently using Mechanix FastFit
    http://www.mechanix.com/fastfit
which do the job, but looking for something better.

  3. Do you wear gloves for more immersion or other reasons? Often seem them in videos and was just wondering.

I personally wear them for comfort & to not have my sweaty hands, dirty hands or oils from your skin too much over my wheel (599xx Alcantara rim).
I think most people will wear them for comfort & to not wear out the alcantara (if they have an alcantara rim ofc). In the end it just feels better and nicer, having sweaty hands is never fun.

Mechanix Vent. Don't need fireproofing and the only relevant thing is air ventilation.

They do the job but perhaps not as good as purposely designed racing gloves. And karting gloves are not fireproof.

  9. Fingerless, gel padded cycle gloves. Comfortable and no issue pressing buttons and keys.

After doing some reading, I think I'll go with Sparco with external seam.
Just can't decide on the model.
    There are two for karting:
    http://www.sparco.it/shop/en/karting/clothing/gloves/arrow-kg-7-002532
    http://www.sparco.it/shop/en/karting/clothing/gloves/tide-kg-9-00256

    And two for racing:
    http://www.sparco.it/shop/en/racing/clothing/gloves/arrow-rg-7-001352A
    http://www.sparco.it/shop/en/racing/clothing/gloves/tide-rg-9-001355

Leaning toward Arrow, anyone has experience with them?

Is homologation the only difference between these karting and racing gloves.

If it's just for sim-racing (and maybe karting irl) I'd suggest to get the karting (and not so expensive) gloves. They'll do just fine.
Edit: and if you're from the EU, check this out https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/s/alpinestars/alpinestars-kart-gloves
Not sure where they ship to but those prices seem pretty nice.

After more reading into description on Sparco USA site it does seem that homologation and perhaps fire retardancy are the only differences between two.
    Thanks for useful responses.

And regarding the reason to use gloves, the first night of OSW usage left me with sores and blisters after a drifting session. High torque, high friction and high speed means you HAVE to use gloves! I thought it was a cheap gimmick in videos, but I realize it's really needed.

I can definitely recommend the Sparco Arrow RG7 gloves. I use them in Slalom Racing and Karting, and I never had a pair of gloves that were as comfortable as these. Only thing I noticed is that after a year the rubber in the inside starts to wear off, but it shouldn't be as severe in sim Racing.

I bought a generic motorbike gloves for 15€. Approved by Päijänneajo endurance race winner from that year. They are lightweight and after 3 years of usage still in great condition. They look very close to what @Kade posted.

I just received these (Sparco Rocket RG-4) and haven't had time to use them much but love them so far. Very comfortable but maybe a bit expensive (they're about €80 in my country). It's pretty difficult to type in the chatbox with them on but it's probably true for any racing glove...
You may want to search the forum. There are a couple of other threads about gloves (I read them before buying these).

I cannot help you with the gloves, but I have a 'Friend' who could help you find those 'Comfortable Shoes' to go with your new gloves. :D
