Lol I saw in PC2 forums someone claim they started ACC the same time as PC2 in 2015. But SMS got flack for being honest and abandon PC1 less then 12 months after release while nobody said anything bad about Kunos abandoning AC.

Kunos made new content and even released it free the end of 2017 more then 3 years after release.

 

I’m really disappointed with the post support release of Assetto Corsa too... they just took more money from the community by releasing cars and content for ages after release when they should have been focusing on making a new game... I mean 3!!! Porsche packs... that’s just wasting time!!

I literally cannot believe the sheer amount of free content but also updates and features that AC has had... and just when it’s “dead” modders come out and tear up the death certificate with insane content themselves. It makes me proud and satisfied with every penny I have spent

Dunno, the end of 2016 seems to be "when we started to think about it...to finalize what was going to be". Pretty sure most of the team was still working on AC for a while after that...

 

One weird thing that stands out for me is why is the car starting in the middle of the track instead of pit lane/garage? All those guys standing on track is strange as well. Where do they go after? How did everyone get there? It’s a scene that I don’t think would ever happen in real life.

I think its supposed to be a test run or like a presentation to the press (in the ACC fictional world) ,shrug. Looking at the a$$ end of the car while it's driving down the track wouldn't happen in real life either, hahaha. Oddly no one ever questions that in games, hahaha.

Honestly, you are thinking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to hard about this.

 

Trust me when I say I’m not thinking very hard at all about any specifics with ACC, it’s in very early build stage after all. Was juts a random though hat jumped at me after watching it for the hundredth time... lol.

 

ACC looks fabulous so far. The video of the Ferrari 488 GT3 at Spa-Francorchamps is particularly nice with the gorgeous lighting.

AC with dynamic time and weather was always the dream.

I'm looking forward to the console release from 2020 onwards..!

 

I’m just surprised what you guys have achieved since you sold out and cashed in from being bought. I still can’t work out how you have made this prototype whilst selling out and relaxing on your own yachts 7 days a week. Just imagine what you could have achieved if you were trying

 

I can't believe they didn't turn off that utterly borked leaderboard for these previews.

I know it's 'pre-alpha' but there's solid precedence for Kunos not doing this stuff very well, and I've long been concerned that it will be similarly compromised in ACC. Seeing this is hardly reassuring.

 

It's optional in AC, why wouldn't it in ACC, or you just can't figure out how to turn it off?

 

Regardless of what it's called, why would it not be 'live' rather than (awkwardly) refreshing three times a lap?

If it's to faithfully recreate the way timing is done in the real series, I reckon that's a strange design descision. Never seen anything like it in any other title, whether game or sim.
